We wont see the DC of first one.
It was spoken about before the media release and then not a peep.
Then director said Chapter 2 is more likely to get a DC which sounds like first one be getting it.

Exclusive: It: Chapter 2 director is working on a supercut featuring both movies back-to-back

Director Andy Muschietti recently spoke to our sister publication SFX magazine and revealed that he has plans to release both a longer director’s cut and a supercut combining both It: Chapter One and Chapter Two into one big scarefest.

“The possibilities are open,” Muschietti says of future, longer cuts of It: Chapter Two. “There’s a version where the two movies are cut together. There’s a version where there’s a special director’s cut of number one and a special director’s cut of number two. And I’m happy to basically work on every one of them.”

No news yet on whether all three will be bundled into home releases, however. Even so, we’re at the very least almost guaranteed longer It: Chapter Two down the line according to the Muschietti. While the Chapter Two runtime already clocks in at a bulky 165 minutes, the director’s cut version should surpass even that.

The director explained that the first Chapter Two director’s cut was around “four hours long” and he’s now going to be working on “the director’s cut, based on my first director’s cut.” It’s “definitely going to happen,” says Muschietti.

I'll stick with the original cuts. If anything I think the first movie could have trimmed some fat and it sounds like Part II is even more bloated. I just hope Part II gets a decent steelbook.

It's very good, solid, but I can't call it great, as was the original. But then again, it was too tough to beat. But Bill Hader is great though!

...you just laid out the perfect reason for a joined cut to exist tbh.

Also the just released Zavvi Exclusive 4K steelbook for the first movie is just gorgeous and the best yet; if the steelbooks for this one disappoint they’ll most likely eventually have a good one seeing as there have been five or six for the first movie.

That’s a nice looking steel though I still like the latest Best Buy version the best. It covers my favorite imagery from the book without going too heavy on the film’s own visual design. To me it has the most classic IT feel.

I’m hoping someone releases a steelbook that utilizes the white teaser poster, or some close variation of it. I’d love the black and white contrast between chapters.

Lol, talking about trimming "fat" when Andy Muschietti not only is thinking about a super cut but has planned a director's cut for both chapters. If anything, the first film is 20 min shy of being great, not enough time spent with the Losers.

And it's interesting how attached he seems to be to his 4 hour first cut, it doesn't sound at all like it was an assembly but he literally says "but you can't release a 4 hour movie in theaters". So I'm pumped to see that and I wouldn't be surprised if his director's cuts and the super cut (which would probably be completely reshaped to echo the structure of the book) end up being the definitive versions over the theatrical cuts.

This is a 1300 page book, it needs all it can get.

I don't think more time spent with the losers would have made it a better movie. If the movie is missing anything I believe it is time spent on Derry itself. I'd gladly trade a few of the horror skits with the kids to get more background on the town and what makes it such an evil place. For me that was the scariest part of the book and it's hardly touched upon in the movie. Unless all the good elements of the film ended up on the cutting room floor I don't see how longer would be better. Not with this movie.

The longer it is the more likely a streaming exclusive it’ll be. I wonder if Apple will make a trend of it and pay for exclusive streaming like they just did with the Midsommar Directors Cut.
