Did you ever find out? Also interested if the ESC France BD is region free if anyone knows.

Incidentally, I watched the French BD yesterday... It's region B locked, subtitles can however be removed. And it's missing the audio commentary from the US release.

IMO, this movie shouldn’t feel like a “forgotten comedy”. I think it’s a super solid mafia comedy that should be more widely watched.

I really like this movie. Saw in the theater & own the DVD. But $26 for the BD seems overpriced.

It is, but I was looking at getting this last year and it seemed OOP, so good to see it for sale again.
If you want the sequel you have to import an ancient Scandinavian BD too.
