I just bought this from Target and it skips in a few places. I looked up some reviews, and a few mention the issue but most don't. Do you guys know anything about this issue? Is it an issue with older copies that has been fixed in newer ones, or is it just something I'm going to have to live with if I want to own this movie on Blu-ray?

I thought the film was good on its own but having the JBB segments is like nostalgia icing on a bloody cake. Of course it’s the first way I watched the film, brings me back to the days of classic TNT/USA, and it’s the only way I’ll watch it from now on even though it adds about 40 minutes. I really wish more films would include classic JBB or Elvira segments as bonus features.

I’m pretty tolerant of portmanteaus though and I realized immediately this was going to be of the comedy meta horror variety right away and would be throughout. There should be enough goofy splatter to keep most people involved though.

I didn’t incur any skipping during my play through with the At the Last Drive-In method, not sure if that makes a difference. I’m pretty sure I bought this through Target as well and not right away since it was during one of their B2G1 sales. I might have a later pressing but I do have the slipcover so I doubt it.

Watching this now. So far, it totally sucks. I'm 36 minutes into it and it's hard to keep going.

I made it another 10 minutes and turned it off.

Shudder originals can be an acquired taste and may be tough to recommend. I really liked The Room, for example, but others may not.

This is definitely not for everyone. I felt the same when I first watched it, but it grew on me as the movie went on. Liked it enough to purchase a blu copy when it came out, I've since watched it at least three more times. Hey, this is a guy that admittedly likes The Happening.

Some of them are really good. I loved Vicious Fun.

AMC+ with Shudder has the Shudder films in 720p and is a pretty nice way to preview or watch these in full. Otherwise, my game plan has been to buy the dvds when they show up at Dollar Tree, but it's hit or miss what will be included. But Shudder will be higher quality, though a bit of a step down versus blus. Scare Package is one that has exclusive blu extras as well, so you may have to research a bit beforehand.

Somehow this film is getting a sequel... "Scare Package 2: Rad Chad's Revenge". Anyone in the UK that want's to check it out and give us the rundown can see it at Fright Fest UK on August 25th.

Call me a glutton for punishment, but I'm actually curious to see what they came up with and hope this gets picked up for some form of distribution in some capacity. That poster alone is enough to pique my interest. (I also kind of want to purchase that poster truth be told).

Let's hope the sequel is actually good. The original was so disappointing. That artwork is pretty sweet though along with the original's.

Forgot how wretched the first movie was and decided to give the sequel a try. That was a mistake.

So, I absolutely loved the first one. Thought it was actually funny, quite charming, and liked some of the practical effects/gore used.

The 2nd one was one of the worst films I saw all year. It lacked any actual humor. The comedy in it was painstakingly cringe. I wish I could un-see it.

The original is like Citizen Kane compared to the sequel.
