Default Scare Package (with The Last Drive-In!) comes to blu in October

Hands down, this was one of the better episodes of the season. A very solid anthology, and I cant wait to get it!

Now we just need Hogzilla on Blu!

I would buy Hogzilla if they allowed Joe Bob to record a commentary track.

Without the Joe Bob Commentary I can't imagine giving this film a recommendation. With Joe Bob's thoughts included however it becomes a fun experience. When this film works it really works... but for every solid segment there is an equally bad one waiting as well. I'll be buying this no doubt, but I strongly encourage anyone watching this for the first time, to watch "The Last Drive-in" feature instead of the movie by itself.

I will buy any movie with JBB's commentary on it!

Also, I cant imagine that a disc release of Hogzilla wouldn't come with all kinds of makings of and interviews with Darcy and JBB and the director. That's a movie where the making of is as fascinating as the actual movie.

Yeah, I can sign off on that. It's like any anthology, some segments are gold, some segments are . . . . less so. But overall I thought it was a fun watch.

With the Last Drive In segments (hopefully with an option to have them between the stories), this is a no-brainer for me.

I enjoy a lot of horror anthologies (it's one of my favorite sub-genres), but I didn't care for this one at all. I'd never heard of it before seeing it on The Last Drive-In, so I was curious and Joe Bob's enthusiasm for it seemed promising, but I found it very disappointing and often a chore to get through. Cool that they're including Joe Bob's TLDI segments as a bonus, though. They were definitely the highlight of my viewing experience.

I'll give this a shot. Thought the trailer was ok. I don't expect a homerun for every story so we'll see. I dont always agree with everyone anyway as I think Creepshow (the series) is terrible except for like two of the episodes. Comic wrap arounds don't make it good.

My God this was terrible. It was so bad I literally felt awkward embarrassment for everyone involved in making it. By the time it was over, my face hurt from cringing.

This is one of those films where I saw so many people praise it and say it was amazing. Well I just have to disagree, it's one of the worst things I've seen in a while and I have no idea why people like it so much. It's very self aware and in the worst way where it feels like the writers and filmmaker is saying "hey look at this sweet reference!" while winking at you the entire time. The entire film grated on me, acting was terrible, sometimes it seemed like it was on purpose and others times it seemed like amateur actors. It's also almost 2 hours long for some crazy reason. And to not be a downer, I did think they did an amazing job with the practical effects. Some really fun and impressive gore gags, it's honestly the only reason I finished the film.

I would like more JBB on any release geared towards us genre fans. Whether it be an interview, commentary or TLDI/Monstervision segments.

I agree with this. The Rad Chad's video store wrap-around is entertaining. The humor in the "pile of glop" story while over the top was still enjoyable, but much of the rest of the film drags at times. Joe Bob himself acknowledges this as well and doesn't pull punches on the bad segments. The film would have been stronger had it cut out two segments.

i watched this as part of the chattanooga film festival... and the whole time all i could think was “do the makers actually like horror movies or do they just like making fun of horror movies?” i would assume the second, and that’s why i’m not a fan.

i don’t know why everyone thinks they need to be self referential or meta... which are two of worst words in horror after remake...

maybe i’m being too hard on something that was obviously very low budget. there’s a couple good moments. but this just wasn’t for me.

Girls Night Out of Body & So Much To Do. They were the two weakest parts of the movie for me. Girls Night in particular just did not work for me at all.

Haven't seen this, but it's amazing how much of an influence Scream still has on horror after nearly 25 years.

During The Last Drive-In Joe Bob actually seemed baffled by most of the segments. I think he liked how clever the wrap around stories unfolded and were integrated. I enjoyed it for the most part but better than half the stories were throw aways.

Wow. I was just going to watch this but pretty much everyone here hated it. It's 82% on RT and it looked enjoyable from the trailer. But it sounds kind of annoying from what people here are saying.

I assume you have Shudder which means you have access to The Last Drive-In. Go watch the Joe Bob episode of the film. It will ensure you get the most enjoyment possible from the film. There are many worse films out there, but much of the positive aspects of this one are ruined due to the overwhelming negatives. It's still worth a watch.

Unrelated but this also just dropped to $14 and change on Amazon.

Even though the posts here are scaring me more than the movie likely will, I just locked in my preorder. Plenty of time to change my mind...

But that incredible cover art + Joe Bob Briggs is a mighty tempting combination!
