Don't know if an edition of The Film Review was recorded this week for what would have been it's first airing earlier. I've checked the listings for next Friday, and it says Anna Smith is in place of Mark Kermode.

The last two new editions of The Film Review (first shown on the BBC News channel on the previous two Fridays) were both presented by Anna Smith, in place of Mark Kermode).

The films on the edition of The Film Review the Friday before last (DVD, Blu-ray and streaming releases):

- Promising Young Woman
- I Blame Society
- Portal
- Henfy Glassie: Fieldwork
- True Mothers
- Final Days.

The films on last week's edition of The Film Review (DVD, Blu-ray and streaming releases):

- Black Bear (the cast including Aubrey Plaza)
- Laddie: The Man Behind the Movies (documentary)
- Sister with Transistors (documentary)
- The Oak Room
- Spring Blossom
- House of Cardin.

Hoping Black Bear gets an eventual Blu-ray release as the story and plot sound very interesting. Still to see another Aubrey Plaza-starring film called Ingrid Goes West. Have seen her though in the series Parks and Recreation, and that was a very funny series.

Next week's new edition of The Film Review won't be first shown on the BBC News channel until late next Friday night, due to coverage of the local elections etc.
