Not that it matters, but it's funny how my thread about the Universal titles that were on Gruv remains banished to Wish Lists. (Inglourious Basterds and National Lampoon's Animal House are the two remaining without further confirmation.)

A 20th Century Fox film, so Disney is unlikely to be prioritizing it.

Which is unfortunate considering the quality of the current BD. Movie deserves so much better.

In the realm of Newman/Hill, I'd love to get Slap Shot on 4k as well.

Regular edition for me! Bought this on BD twice. I prefer the art of the regular edition, slightly. Bought the Uni BD with the Velcro close slipcover, but then later on decided to pick up the Target SteelBook for the future possibility of a 4K release coming with shitty artwork and needing a spec-less case for a newer edition. If that had been the case, I would put the 4K disc in the Target steel. But it looks like this has art that is good, so I can go with this.

Please please let this have a fixed transfer and mono. I have the old open matte LD with mono and this is one of the remaining “best transfer is on HDDVD” titles. The DNR down on the Blu-ray was awful.

Seeing a print of this film really makes it come alive in ways no video version has done to this point.

Slap Shot happens to be George Roy Hill as well. And speaking of Hill, "The Great Waldo Pepper" should get remastered. The Shout release is disgusting.
