Disney did tried to buy WB once, but failed (Thank GOD). Fox is more fitting for Disney anyway, considering Fox has a history with Marvel and Star Wars anyway.

Theaters won't SURVIVE long enough for studios to put their blockbusters on screens...if they have not enough blockbusters to screen in 2022.



Disney released four MCU movies in the second half of 2021, and all made money. (the most recent of which is literally one of the highest grossing films of ALL TIME) None (Spider-Man aside) made that they would've pre-Pandemic, but Disney knows that it's a symbiotic relationship between large-budget films and cinemas...one cannot exist without the other. It's worth taking a moderate hit at the box office to keep people coming back, and stuff like The King's Daughter and Redeeming Love aren't going to do it.

You are talking to a brick wall anymore on this site. a good amount of people on here want theaters to fail. So everything can be viewed at home.

But yeah. Seems a good amount of studios would want it to go to streaming. So they keep all the profits themselves instead of splitting with theaters.
