Theres also a 'Screen Off' function in the 'Energy Saving' section that you can place on the home menu which is much quicker. Allows you to keep a UHD/PS5/etc paused and running but shut the panel completely off. Press any button on the remote and it turns back on.

Hmm

I know where to find that option as LG has buried it under a bunch of Panel Care Settings, Devices etc..

However I didn’t know you could map it to a quick slot 1-8 key. Will try that out thanks.

No issues so far. They didn’t address the audio stutter but I don’t think it’s on their radar. Who listens to anything from Optical/HDMI sources anyway right?

I only use high end Audio headphones.

C1 doesn’t do them justice.

How would I go about adding this to the home menu?
I've just been using the voice thing to turn the screen off. Voice functionality has been surprisingly good so far. It recognizes every detail of stuff like, "Play Squid Game on Netflix."

On the remote, when I hit the settings button it brings up a menu of white icons on the left side of the screen. Delete one of these that you don't use and a '+' icon will replace it. Click that and choose 'Screen Off' from there to add it to the list.

I see. Thanks. Got it to work with Apple TV4K input.

Doesn’t work with Game Optimizer. So that sucks.

What are people doing for cable management behind their C1s? My C7 has an actual two sided clip back there that holds wires well. The C1 has a tiny hole that you’re supposed to push a plastic cable tie into. It’s trash lol.

Nothing for mine. Have mine on its stand. Tv sits low enough to hide any cables.

Putting the power cable anywhere near the HDMI cables is a no go. There is a reason why the power supply is on the opposite end of the TV.

This is a thing? Like the power cord will interfere with the audio/video? I’ve always had all my cables go to the center of the TV then run down to the stand together and have never experienced any issues because of it..

A risk? Yes.

Wether you actually encounter problems, only time will tell.

If they're properly shielded HDMI cables, surely it won't matter.

I run all mine together down trunking as it's wall mounted and don't have issues.

I don't see what different time would make. It's not acid running down the power cord.

Yeah I was going to say.. I've never heard of that. Sounds like one of those "was a problem in the early days of HDMI, but not anymore" kind of things.

I have no clue how that thing works, once I had everything set up I just tied the cables together with a zip tie around the middle and hid them behind the TV stand so they're not visible.

Is this video for real? It could be two minutes long with the little amount of info he goes over.

"Okay first pick Film Maker Mode. This will turn off everything that needs turned off and set everything to the correct amount. However, I'm going to go through each menu just to be sure."

Do you have anything to add? Or just negative criticism?

Had I not watched the video, I would have left these 2 settings at their default which isn’t these,

Aspect Ratio - Original
Just Scan - On

As per White Balance I have set mine to Warm 50. Also for SDR, 45 OLED Brightness is exactly 100 nits.

For gaming I use 55 for 120 nits in SDR.

Just can't stand "fluff" videos. Everything could have been gone over in a couple minutes vs. fifteen minutes. However, YouTube videos make more money when they're over ten minutes long, so I get it.

I've had my C1 since late October and am loving it--- can someone tell me where exactly in the menu system I go to find how many hours the TV has been used? Isn't there an initial "break-in" period or something?

On my 2020 GX, go to the Settings tab>all settings>support>tvinformation.

Just use various programming without static images, and your set should be fine.
