Cry Macho 4K Blu-ray Review

Honest question about how scores work around here...

Why does the 4k get a 4/5 PQ score and the blu-ray get 4.5/5 when you state that the 4K is a better experience visually?

Someone who doesn't take the time to read the actual review would look at that score and go "Why should I pay extra for the 4K when the BD's video is better?"

Is it a comparison of all the other 4Ks out there? This one scored a 4 because it wasn't as good as Karate Kid's Video that scored a 5?

Just curious how the comparisons come about?

It's tough for us too because many Blu-rays are just perfect for that format and thus should receive 5/5, but where do you go from there? Unlike guitar amps, you can't just "go to 11". Probably the best rule of thumb for a proportionate rating is that the 4K score should be doubled... But really the best solution is it just ignore the ratings altogether.

And I did a separate review of the Blu-ray which is linked in the body of the 4K review.

ADDED FOR CLARITY: The 4K review still needs a value filled in for the Blu-ray's video quality if a copy is included (combo packs).

The German steel can currently be ordered for EUR 21,52 at amazon..de. Other than the regular price drop to EUR 24,19, there's an additional EUR 2,67 discount during checkout. The discount seems to have a glitch though - I had to switch the payment option to credit card and back to regular during checkout and couldn't click "Weiter" otherwise.

Anyway, just grabbed it (and hope it arrives undamaged...), but Warner steel prices only know one way (down) IME anyway, so it might get even cheaper. But the price is fine with me already now.

Is it true that the Italian release comes with a slipcover like the database listing says? I can't find any pics of it online.

I bought the Bluray a few years back on Black Friday but I'm happy to upgrade.

EDIT: Just got it with slow shipping from Amazon and an 6% back on my Prime Visa and just got in under the wire for 4K code redemption [an upgrade from my HD] Expires 12/31/23...nice!
