Do you know what email we should use? I couldn't find it.

I haven't found one yet, but I found a twitter for what is some kind of Sony Home Video department in the UK, and they are active on twitter and actually reply to tweets, so I would encourage everyone who has twitter or can take a few seconds to sign up for one to go and tweet at them or send them a direct message registering your interest in a 3D blu-ray of No Way Home (and Venom 2 for that matter).

Well then, it sounds like I should finally see TASM 2 as prep for seeing this one.

It's supposed to be the worst spiderman film, but the best 3D, so that'll be interesting. BTW since TASM2 ends on a cliffhanger, what are the odds that SMNWH will show how that fight ends?

Is it just me or is Electro wearing Stark’s Arc Reactor to help keep his more human looking form/colour?

It resembles Whiplash's exosuit.

I watched it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I’ve had the 3D Blu-ray for years and just never got round to it. Loved every second of it.

Yeah the reviews are way too harsh for it. The script is too corny and the music for Electro is corny^infinity but otherwise it’s a fun superhero movie with good 3D and a bold ending.

Spider-Man is corny though!!

The ending got me, wasn’t expecting it.

Yeah but the corniness in ASM2 is just way too much for me. Some of it comes off like it was written by a kid

Are we talking Disney+ MCU shows levels of corniness?

ASM2 suffered from having an absolutely pathetic villain. Electro was played like the nutty professor's humorless, less capable and more socially dysfunctional cousin. It's slapstick levels of stupid and makes the Schumacher Batman villains look like they missed overacting class.

The 3D, as noted, was really really good. And the rest of the movie is decent, I really like Andrew Garfield's Peter/Spider-Man.

To bring this on topic, Electro was so bad that I was disappointed to see he's returning for No Way Home. I'm going to put aside my trepidation and trust Marvel to make him not suck this time around. Also wondering if they're going to pretend the Spider-Man 3 Venom doesn't exist. Really not sure how they'd fit that in considering they have the much better version now.

Wow, no holds barred on that review. Thanks.

Why is it that the best 3D seems to be found in movies that aren't exactly beloved?

I admit it wouldn't have pained me to have seen Electro dropped from the roster. I never heard anything good about his character, or the acting for the part, and he's why I have yet to see that movie, and is my main reservation about NWH.

Well, that and the scene of Peter Parker making fun of Otto Octavius because his name is alliterative.

Spider-Man 3 Venom vs Tom Hardy Venom is a wash IMO. Maybe after the first Venom it was a clear win for Hardy's, but after Let There Be Carnage...

Exactly. Jamie Foxx is a fantastic actor but the way they wrote and directed Electro was completely cringeworthy. I too am wondering if they’ll basically retcon his personality from ASM2, or even if the Electro in NWH will fall out of a different multiverse from Garfield’s Spider-Man and maybe even Garfield will have a little knowing joke about how this version of Electro is much more serious or something. Wouldn’t surprise me

I wouldn't mind even replacing Jamie Foxx. He's not the male Meryl Streep, but he is similarly overrated

The clip of his transformation into Electro, where the CGI artists made sure to show that getting electrocuted fixed the gap in his teeth (), just makes it impossible to ever take the TASM2 version of Electro seriously.

We were told this in our weekly calls with David Keighley and IMAX corporate.
honestly i dont expect them to reverse course on that till Avatar II
