It's kinda shit IMO. NOT for the whole "transferred from a theatrical print because we can't find the negative" thing but for ze German obsession with DNR, which takes a serviceable transfer (the master has no DNR) and turns it into a weird smeary mess.

In any case, this new transfer is indeed going to destroy it. Sold mine months ago.

Second Sight have been negotiating with them for months trying to get access to the negative, hence the more recent hints that Warners were stepping up their interest in the movie. But SS will get first dibs and once they're done will deliver the 4K master to Warners, who will presumably do their own release at some point.
