He has a lot of legit points, and it is hilarious how unwittingly some in here prove him right by attacking him instead of anything he said.

He brings up interesting points and can be quite insightful, at times. However he falls into the bawbag category along with yon rocket Count Dankula.

That guy is a hack. Just like a lot of those other similar type of YouTube people who all talk about the same thing. Like how Star wars is being ruined.

I love the Drinker. He's probably my favorite youtuber. Plus, unlike most youtubers he's actually an accomplished author as well. He's able to better articulate a lot of the problems that I have with movies today.

The Critical Drinker is hilarious... haven't seen all his videos but I died laughing at him making fun of Bree Larson and "woke" Bond films....

for people on the other side of the fence... you know this is meant to be humor right?

He's got some funny content for sure. Yes, to the credit of the neighsayers in this thread, he draws big red Xs on the most popular films out there and goes to town, but when he lines up a string of zingers it's well worth the ten minutes you spend. Brie's butt-double stuff is tailor-made for videos of the like after all.

People are naturally fearful of things/those they love moving on without them, and vice versa. Because fictional characters and universes can potentially be kept static, an unhealthy sense of control and dependence is established. This is negative for everyone and everything involved.

I've heard of this guy. He constantly complains about the dearth of originality in modern film. He also wrote a book that was marketed as "Jason Bourne meets Jack Reacher."

(insert snickering here)

And isn’t his YouTube gimmick just another Mr. Plinkett (Red Letter Media) knock-off?

Which is just as unfunny, although I don't mind Mike and Rich when they're doing regular reviews (Jay's kind of insufferable). RLM's much more tongue-in-cheek, not angry.

I enjoyed the new Scream, Ghostbusters, Star Wars TV series, Candyman, Bond, Fast & Furious, Halloween 18 and even Halloween Kills (despite knowing the script was terrible, it delivered on the gnarly crunchiness).

I feel no guilt, I never shall. These things are not even close to the only things I watch, but I love nostalgia as much as I love exciting new fresh movies.

If and when these things become unwatchably awful I'll stop watching them.

There's an unlimited amount of media out there, more than anyone could ever watch in a lifetime, it seems weird to get pissy about one thing being more popular than the other.

Just don't watch it. Watch something else. The options are literally endless.

That's the thing with a lot of YouTube people who do this. They know they can earn tons of hits and basically make a career out of moaning and groaning. Cause negativity sells like no other.
