The only one who enjoyed The Host? Are you serious? I can understand the dislike of Dragon Wars but these two films are not in the same league. It would be like comparing Disaster Movie to Airplane.

The movie has its good and bad moments. The CGi was pretty well done, the battle scenes etc. were very good. But it has its bad moments too.. I own it, but mainly cuz the kids liked it.

I thought "The Host" was pretty damn good. But "Dragon Wars"...well, Ive got my guilty pleasures as well. I actually liked both of Kevin Costner's sci-fi romps, "Waterworld" and "The Postman."

When I saw the trailer and have read about it, I was all stoked! But upon watching it, it was not what I was expecting. I did enjoy the special feature and how the Korean director Hyung-rae Shim talking to the Korean press and them being excited when he told the story of how he was able to attract composer Steve Jablonsky (Transformers).

I personally feel that if Shim wanted to make a story based on Korean mythology known Internationally, personally I would have loved to see it as a Korean-based film. But I guess part of the problem was that if he was going to get the funding, it would have to be a made outside of the country.

But I didn't enjoy the film. Other's might.

I have this movie on blu. it's not the best movie in the world (it's almost crap) with that said, I will tell you this, it's a great movie for PQ & an incredible movie for AQ! the surround sound is incredible. I wish this had been in 7.1, that is the only way it could be any better. for a low budget film the visuals are really good and like i said the audio is spot on! play it loud! like i said the movie (acting and story) are pretty much crap or a "B" movie but the visuals and the audio are great!

Trust me I love it!

I agree, the Host was a lot better than Dragon Wars. D wars was a real disappointment. It looked like a made for Sci-Fi Channel movie except the effects where better. The acting and the story was terrible IMHO. And I liked Skinwalkers, so I've got nothing against Jason Behr. Not that he's a good actor. lol. I liked Roswell the series as well.

I'm a big fan of dragons, but I've heard no so great things about this film, like not enough "dragon action", etc. Am I waisting 7.99 (which is Amazon's price as of now)

No x 100 it's one of the worst movies I have seen and I personally would not pay anything for it. Btw the cgi is also some of the worst I have ever seen.

that's part of the problem, asking us should you buy it. if you are interested in it then buy it or don't. do let your life be directed for you, get out there and get the good with the bad, it's called life.

I enjoy it, I even bought it myself but I really like cheesie over the top bad CGI fantasy movies from Asia. If this is not something you could enjoy I would say skip it, otherwise at $8 it's a very good price.

I've only seen about 3 good dragon movies in my life:

How to Train a Dragon (excellent)
Dragon Hunters (good)
Reign of Fire (fair)

All the rest (sucky)

I can't think of anymore that are decent...
