Question Does Anyone Have Information about Dragon Wars?

Hey guys, I know I haven't been around here for a long time and I went through a search for this in the forums. If it's already out there, I'm sorry. The moderator can move it where it needs to be.

I had been hearing about a new movie coming out about dragons--D-War. Dragon Wars has been showing their ads for a while, but I decided tonight to look it up and see who puts it out. I looked through several sites, including it's own official page and I couldn't tell exactly which studio it was under. Then I went to Rotten Tomatoes and found out that it was being released by Freestyle Releasing. So far, I've only seen that it must be an independent studio that is putting it out.

My question is, does anyone have any information on the studio and what might come of it? Thanks in advance.

I saw a preview on Yahoo yesterday, looks interesting!

However I looked at the coming soon of my local theaters and none seem to have it listed...

Yahoo does list it as a Wide release though..?

I believe it is Dreamworks because i saw a poster at a theater but it could be a smaller release since the website only has small production companies listed.

Yeah, I don't think it's Dreamworks. I actually have been seeing a few of the advertisements on TV lately and normally if it is Dreamworks you see the Dreamworks screen at the beginning...not in this case. Also with the big opening of the movie in a couple of weeks, it should be on Dreamworks' website. It isn't there.

This was brought up in a thread on another section here a few weeks ago. Dragon Wars is being released theatrically in the USA by Freestyle Releasing (and no, I've never heard of them either).

The movie itself is being produced by a South Korean production company (Showbox Entertainment), and they hold the worldwide media rights. Chances of this appearing on Blu-ray are slim to none, I'd say.

Wow thats crazy a small production company is releasing a movie without a studio behind them. Good for them.

But you're saying that there's a shot, right?

I posted, because it looked interesting; however, you can never tell until you see the movie if it really is worth it. Yeah, I found the South Korean site, but since I can't read the language, it was a bit hard to tell who was putting it out.

And if a moderator sees fit for this to be put somewhere else, it's fine. I just never found it in the threads when I put in a search.

Hope that's true. For years, I've wanted someone to make a decent dragon movie that will show many types of dragons and look natural. If it takes an independent company to do it, so be it.
