All mention of the steelbook for PS4/PS5/XBOX versions of the game have been removed from the current order page, seems they sold out of the allotment. The game was actually removed from being able to be ordered for a couple days until they fixed the listen today.

The Switch version still has it included.

I tried to do a reorder because I wanted to place it on a different card, thankfully I realized the Steelbook was sold out before I cancelled my first order. I'm still going with PS5 and Switch copies. I'll probably play it on PS5 first and then a second playthrough on Switch. If this is anything like Remake then I'll be playing it over and over.

I know it's not really anything new, and it's more about the Switch being so outdated, but that's still pretty embarrassing that the Switch version is only 720p/30 even in docked mode.

It's nice to see it will actually be 4K/60 on the PS5. Hopefully it's a steady 60 as that's a rare combination so far. Regardless, I'll be getting this day 1.

The remastered action RPG is a fairly hefty 40.5GB on PS4, but it's cut down to a much more manageable 21GB on PS5. That's a pretty impressive drop-off, even if we are talking about what is essentially an overhauled PSP game.

Glad I did. I was gonna buy this. Not now. lol I figured it be on the same level visually as FF7 Remake. Nope.

I was curious about this but then I remembered--I still haven't played the FF7 Remake expansion. Gonna start that up tonight and I'll wait until this is on PS+.

Even if it was, it'd still be Crisis Core which is... uh... well hopefully you like really bad anime. That's what crisis core is. The bad anime prequel to FF7.

The graphics are close to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It's the animations that are weird to say the least. I'm still looking forward to it's release next week.

They can only do so much without actually remaking it lol. The original PSP version is still the skeleton of the game

So happy that this is getting a main console release and remaster. I played the PSP version when it came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excited to play on the big screen!

I find it stupidly ridiculous that they release the remastered prequel to Final Fantasy 7 on Xbox but don't bother porting the Remake to Xbox. Just sets me off. Just put it on Xbox ffs.

Stopped at Best Buy to pick up another order today and the guy brought my copy out to the register to give to me without asking but the system wouldn’t let him flag it as picked up yet.

Probably won’t have time to get to this one for a week or two anyway so no biggie.

Best Buy has mine listed as arriving tomorrow and they shipped the Steelbook and game together this time. I'm hoping they are in a box because I really don't want a damaged copy of the Steelbook.

Not sure what everybody else’s experience but my orders from Best Buy rarely if ever arrive damaged. Target on the other hand…

Not disagreeing with you about the game, I bought it. Alls I’ll say is it looks better on my 4K TV in action over All YouTube videos I’ve seen covering it.

Because Sony paid a hand in development and get console exclusivity.

Not to be cheeky, but CC is a prequel to FF7 (which is on XB), not FF7R.
