Totally gonna pick up some of these. 7 by my count. I’d be tempted to go for a 3 year sub like I did with Arrow (god, I regret not doing 10 for them!), but I can’t swing a 2 grand thing right now. More expenses than back in 2014. . .

I’m just not sure how many releases there will be in three years. It has to be at least 100 for it to come out to 16GBP each

From their site -

How many releases are you planning?

- We anticipate releasing 2-3 releases a month in Year 1, 3-4 a month in Year 2 and 4 or more a month in Year 3. This may be adjusted in the event of a box set release.

Arrow DID throw a fast one and turned out 3 years into 5, so I tend to forget that part. It's def so nice when things just appear in my mailbox ,though. . .

But again, it's moot cause I'm not doing it.

Scarcity model getting people to want to secure one of the subscriptions. Also helps insure that a smaller niche market will be a continuing income stream, as opposed to a big influx of funds at the beginning and then nothing for 3 years.

Hmm. I kind of want that and it seems like you will get a steep discount as well, but not sure how many of the films I will actually want as they seem pretty diverse with their line up. Even if they only release 72 films total, it will still be a discount, but again, on the fence.

Yeah, it's a tough one. I do feel like you tend to pre-order and blind-buy quite a lot of titles, so it does seem better suited for you than others. At the same time, it's a lot of money to put up front for something that probably won't see its return in savings for at least a year or two. There's also the factor of how well MVD will handle this, like whether they'll ship faster than some of your preferred retailers like Bullmoose (though in this case, I'm not sure if Radiance titles will be posted there or be relegated to Diabolik and MVD) or Diabolik

Yeah, that was another question I had in terms of shipping speed. Japanese titles are always my priority, so I pre-order with Diabolik always, as I'll get them three weeks in advance of street date. (Usually, but not always) However, Diabolik usually gets MVD titles really early, but that's from MVD to Diabolik, and not MVD to the consumer. Outside of the Japanese stuff, looks like it will be a lot of European titles, which I like, but again, not sure how many I will actually enjoy. Plus, the price tag. So on the fence, but giving it some serious thought.

Since I want the UK titles as well, I will probably order direct with Radiance. For the Jan bundle package and the other 8 releases it is around $175 including shipping. Diabolik would be $250 for all 10 releases.

I purchased the Jan bundle but I'm holding off on the others since they won't ship until they're all available. Also, if future months have bundles too, may as well save.

The bundle saves a little money, (around 1.6 GBP more if buying 2 separately), but shipping is almost 10GBP for a bundle so that is why I am thinking of buying them all together. It is around 20 GBP for the Jan bundle & the 8 others.

I was an Arrow Gold Backer back in the day and snagged lots of great stuff during that five year run. Of course, there was also an ever increasing number of titles that simply didn't interest me over the years and that I wound up selling off (many to folks on this very site), but all in all it turned out to be an amazing deal.
That said, the Radiance line suggests it might be a somewhat tougher sell, interesting though it might be, and I just don't think I have the energy at this point to deal with unloading all the stuff I might not want over the next three years.
So I guess that's a reluctant pass for me on the 3-year Gold Package.

Seems like a decent deal when compared to the costs of one year for VS's sub. I wonder if one of the changes VS is making to their own sub is a multi-year offer with maybe a slightly larger discount?
