Not that I’m aware of, that’s why I said the original 3. I had to get the Invisible Man from Zavvi, it looks comparable to the BB steels.

Assuming the assortment of v. 2 is Bride, Mummy, Creature and ‘43 Phantom I’d bet dollars to donuts that BB only does steels of the first 3 and Zavvi or someone else would have to do a steel of Phantom, if one is done at all.

Or maybe they’ll add The Mummy into the mix? Then again, if they still have the older ones in stock may not bode well for new steels.

Yeah, I held off on any of those steels until figuring out what was going on with Invisible Man. When it looked it it wasn't happening, I decided to pick up a set of the Alex Ross steels on ebay instead.

Those are the homes for the 4K discs now. Will see what happens if they release any more in 4K after this volume set.

Also the three movies in question last time that got steel books were all celebrating the 80th or 90th anniversary and Invisible Man was not. So by following that logic only mommy would get a 90th anniversary release in steelbook this year.
Great to see your mommy is getting her own steelbook for her 90th year!

Could be the reasoning, but if they don’t do steels of Creature and Bride they’re leaving money on the table.

With the the v. 1 Hitchcock set BB didn’t release the Birds steel and their Psycho steel had meh art while someone else released the matching poster art steel. So I have no idea what Universal/Best Buy’s release strategy is on these.

Many say Universal isn't interested in releasing/restoring it due to being in the public domain, like many other titles from their earlier horror output. So they keep focusing on the 1943 version they have the rights to. It's a shame.
Right, but they have been quietly restoring their silents in house and then farming them out to boutique labels. I thought they were responsible for the new Hunchback? And they restored The Man Who Laughs, The Last Warning, Outside the Law and Drifting (these last two aren't horror but ARE Tod Browning and one features Chaney) and Eureka, Flicker Alley and Kino have released very nice sets of those. What they could do is release the '43 Phantom in the set with the '29 as an extra a la the Spanish Dracula on the Dracula disc. Maybe they're just afraid of trying to market a silent movie to the dopes out there who refuse to watch them?

Edit: went back and saw Xephix mentioned their approach before I did.

THE MUMMY and BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN are the ones I really care about; hope they get separate steelbook releases.

If the '43 Phantom is included I may just go with steelbooks, assuming they get steelbook releases. I really have no desire to see Nelson Eddy singing again lol.

Yeah we’re going to need the steels for these! I only got the steels for the individual vol 1 release and my favorites are in this vol 2

Good. I have a defective Frankenstein 4K disc so I’ll happily swap it out.

Was hoping for individual releases but I guess it just makes sense to get both box sets at this point.

There's a weird goof on the BD of BRIDE that I hope gets corrected here. Can't find the Youtube comparison showing it though.

Volume 1 actually had 5 movies, adding the Spanish Dracula version. Maybe this set will have 5 movies too with having both versions of Phantom of the Opera. I am hoping for Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein, but I don't think that will happen.
I think Universal will come out with an Abbott and Costello 4k volume sets, with meeting Frankenstein included on volume 1.

I could totally see them adding an additional title like they did for the 2nd Hitchcock volume. After all, volume 1 was the big 4 (Though I would say Bride is as big as those 4 too, perhaps bigger than Invisible Man). The Mummy, Black Lagoon & Phantom are certainly less popular titles, so I could totally see them sweetening the pot with an extra film or so.

Just curious. I have the 4K steelbooks of the first four. What do you find defective about Frankenstein? I didn't notice anything wrong with mine.

Well, looks like I might get a scratch free Dracula. I ended up putting them in the BD cases with OG art so if they do that and not some greyscale uniform art, I guess I would double dip yet again.

Is that the odd jump cut when the monster approaches the hermit's cabin?
