The new wave of James Bond SteekBooks
Only Dr No is a trade wide release in UK

The other James Bond Blu-ray SteelBooks from MGM/Warner listed below will be Zavvi exclusive in UK

Man with the Golden Gun
The Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker
Octopussy
A View to a Kill
The Living Daylights
Licence to Kill
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World is Not Enough
That's interesting. Hopefully Goldeneye sees another release for those that missed out and hopefully it's style is the same as these. Goldeneye and Die Another Day are missing and they haven't released Spectre or No Time to Die in these kinds of steels either.

I think the 4K release of Dr. No will be in a keep case only.

They’re interested in making cardboard tanks though. Who knew?

There are now amazon France listings for I think the selection of titles that images were posted of the other day. They are 15.05 each, but none has a photo with the exception of Dr No. The LE Box is also listed but no photo.

No properly restored original audio no sale ever again. I will only buy the 4k releases to then fix the audio myself.
Reissuing the Lowry filth masters again is just adding further insult.

They really need to retire this Lowry master. It looks awful by today's standards. The packaging for this is dope though!

Every single Bond movie should get a release like this Dr No set with a 4K disc included. That would be something…

Might be waiting until next year for its 50th anniversary.

I'm going to try and avoid this steelbooks, I just can't buy everything I like, and as I already have the content, I just hope if and when they include 4K, the design will be as good.

It is only a Blu-ray release, it is not 4K sadly.

Is anyone else concerned that because they have announced all these steelbooks that maybe that's it for the 60th anniversary.

I would be surprised if they would allow such substantial blu releases on the old masters if they had anything planned in 4k as it would be confusing for buyers.

Honestly, as disappointing as it is, I can see why MGM might not bother with 4K releases. If they released a 25 film box set it would be prohibitively expensive, and therefore it probably wouldn't sell very well. They probably wouldn't want to release them individually either because when they did that with the Blu-Rays, those didn't sell that well so they've probably assumed there's just not a big market for the pre-Craig films outside of a box set.

I would sack anyone in marketing if they thought the above about the James Bond films.

Happy for the fans who want to buy this exclusive 'Dr. No' BD Steelbook.

And if the complete Bond Boxset is ever released on 4K UHD, I will be in regardless of price. Some special things are worth paying premium for.

I already have started collecting the steels. I would hope they all get a 4k release sometime. I imagine a person could do the old disc swap if and when they ever get around to a 4k release for each film.
