Very happy this set is coming out. Doubt a volume 3 set will happen but the chances are never zero
Volume three: 1994 to 2004.

That’s a lot of Jackie for another decade.

Wow. So with this and Heart of Dragon, 9 Jackie Chan films in one month? That's pretty insane!

Honestly, I am stoked for all the Jackie Chan releases this year...If this is the Year of Chan, maybe next year can be the Year of Jet Li!

Even if we can just get a great copy of New Legend of Shaolin, I would be a very happy man.

This is great and all. Would have loved to have these before I did all those imports from the UK throughout the past couple of years. Although, I suppose these probably wouldn't have happened if those sets didn't do so well? Either way, I'm glad they got a proper Region A release. I hope they do just as well so we can get those bigger titles that have been lost in that miramax/warner vault. I still want an uncut release of First Strike!!

Well it's a very strong selection of films that all had very nice 2K remasters come out on very nice UK editions over the last few years:

I blind-bought most of these as they were coming out. I've become immersed in this classic Hong Kong cinema renaissance that's thanks to the surge in top-notch home media releases of these films that started coming almost out of nowhere since a few years ago, and it's been a trip.

For anyone who hasn't been importing these, to get all of these excellent restorations in one purchase is pretty sweet. You miss out on My Lucky Stars, but like I say that particular film isn't a big loss (I'm sure Criterion will give that a standalone release ), and with Crime Story and The Protector (which I haven't got around to seeing) you'll already be ahead of me.

For my money, the best titles in this set are Wheels on Meals, Armour of God, and Winners & Sinners, all 8/10.

Yikes, crazy selection. Can't wait for this set. I hope Criterion releases My Lucky Stars in some sort of set so we can have the trilogy.

I'm guessing Shout doesn't have the Project A films, wonder if we may see those come from someone else for the US. Otherwise a very exciting selection of films. It's so cool to finally see those titles the UK has been enjoying for the past few years finally come here.

Bummed about the Jackie cameo films being included, though, they are actually decent films. I just wish they were released separately or in a trilogy set. Nice both AoG films are included, though. Definitely those and Wheels are the highlight of the set for me.

The inclusion of the first and third Lucky Stars films is kind of bleakly funny, because I frankly doubt Criterion is even going to dump the films they've got into a box all together, let alone release the second one on its own, so you're basically left to buy those two films again from Eureka if you want the other one.

Criterion does have a handful of Jackie Chan films, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Jackie Chan set with all of those at some point.

I'm aware; those are the films I'm talking about. I'm saying I don't think Criterion will release those on disc. The titles they have are such an obvious hodgepodge that they'd make for an awkward box set, and I don't think these movies are important enough to Criterion for them to fill up their release schedule with standalones of stuff like Spiritual Kung Fu and Fearless Hyena.

I could be wrong; there's obviously plenty of money in releasing Hong Kong movies right now, and I'm sure a box of those movies would sell. I just think, given Criterion's general slant toward prestige releases and meticulously curated fancy boxes, that a random assortment of Jackie deep cuts probably isn't a high priority for them.

What titles does Criterion have and what source has confirmed it?

That's a strong lineup of movies compared to volume 1. But... I already bought all the 88/Eureka ones except Crime Story and The Protector, which I own the old Shout double feature on those (and I remember not enjoying The Protector as much).

Very happy to see these released in Region A for everyone to enjoy, but it's most likely a pass for me.

ARMOUR OF GOD -->2.35:1?....leave it to professionals to already be messing up prior even releasing the product. Armour Of God was shot at 1.85:1.

These should of been released by either 88Films or Arrow Films in the US.

There's two others listed with a wrong ratio too!

I don't feel that bad, at least I have these to be contempt with;

Even Echo Bridge had the decency and respect to give them a single film release each.
