Trying to decide if it's worth waiting for physical to AT LEAST get lossless 5.1, or just watch a streaming version with the compressed DD+ 'atmos'?

I'll have to to a side by side some time to hear if I prefer a compressed 'atmos' encoded audio stream, or a LOSLESS DTS-MA 5.1 track...

It’s a pity the “IMAX” ratio scenes are not included but to be honest they didn’t add a whole lot. Seeing it in IMAX, I appreciated the “pop” that came with the aspect ratio shift (and how it was restrained to only cover matches), but it didn’t really affect the actual composition of these shots. Just a lot of extra headroom. I would compare it to other digital IMAX presentations like those in the MCU. It’s not exactly Nope or a Nolan movie.

The most workmanlike Creed movie so far. They seem to have taken most of their narrative cues from Rocky 5, of all of the sequels to mimic. It's still a decent movie overall, but it lacks the punch of the previous two flicks. It's easy to see why the producers, in a panic, begged Sly to come and fix the movie in the editing room...and why he told them to get f**ked.

Directed by Jordan, from a screenplay by Keegan Coogler and Zach Baylin, the film recently set a franchise record and scored the biggest domestic box office opening for a sports film in history. SYNOPSIS

Yes. Sly is very resentful of the way that the Winklers are exploiting the Rocky universe for everything that it's worth after driving him out. The Winklers have been mistreating Sly for years and now they're picking the carcass of the Rocky series to line their pockets. This all came to a very public head when the Drago spin-off was announced, Sly posted on Instagram to call the Winklers parasites and even had a go at Dolph for ostensibly agreeing to the movie.

Sly says they continually tried to get him to agree to film a cameo for Creed III when the movie was in post but he refused. He still likes Michael B. Jordan and would love to work with him again, but he has serious beef with Irvin Winkler. This is all from Sly's own mouth, he posted some very heated things on the Stallone Zone forums.

Wasn’t it rumoured WB dropped Roiland extras from the last season of Rick and Morty due to the reports that came out? Creed and Creed II were only around 40 minutes of featurettes and deleted scenes though.

Thanks. Unfortunate about all that, this film definitely felt odd and really missed the mark in the last third. I also thought it was strange that Rocky was only mentioned in passing especially since he was such a important person to creeds rise.

I feel like it's not a problem for the Creed spin-offs to stop being about Rocky? I think Creed was better than we had any right to expect, the baton was successfully passed, and it's okay for the Creed movies to be about Creed.

And look, I love the Rocky movies. The good and the bad alike. It's a pretty unique series in the way it charts a character's life from youth to old age. Sure, it has its inconsistencies, but the whole is more than the sum of its parts.

But if there's one place I feel like the series dropped the ball, it was in the non-Rocky characters. Clubber Lang was to Rocky as Rocky was to Apollo, but we never got to know him as a human being, just as an angry presence. Drago never came across as human. Even Paulie went from an angry, toxic, but real character to goofy comic relief.

We've got Rocky's story. It's beautiful. But there's room for more stories to be explored in this series.
