There's only confusion because most consumers don't find their own info. They rely on what other people say, and what happens is they get caught in between fanboys playing a tug"O"war with them. If more people would seek their own info they might be able to find unbiased facts and be able to make a wiser choice.

Exactly and it doesn't just stop at the crappy ports from the 360 to PS3, the Xbox went through the same thing with crappy ports from the PS2 and I'm sure the next gen will go through the same depending on who gets out first.

A part of me does want Apple to make one just to watch it fail and knock their smug attitude down a a couple notches. Hell I would just like to see them release an OS that works on a billion+ different combinations of hardware, but that's my evil fanboy talking.

Apple won´t enter in the market against PS3 and 360 but their iTunes platform and their Touch devices can be a good place for Indie Games development and distribution.

So are you saying that fanboy wars are just fans competing over the souls of a unknowing consumer... and with enough fanboy kool-aid that unknowing consumer will become a card carrying fanboy as well.

WOW now we know how the transition of all logic occurs. Hurry I think we can win the peace prize for this breakthrough, now just to find out whats in the kool-aid.

Apple is trying for an N-Gage type thing. Basically an iPod/Phone with some advanced gaming capabilities. They already had a console, the Pippin, and it failed miserably. 3 consoles is already too many anyway

Maybe they should concentrate on getting games for Mac before making a console...
Older games that they paid EA to port I might ad, and have sold miserably.

If apple is smart they stick to what they know, rebadging pc's and jacking up the cost.

And the controller would have only one button.

because we know people are too stupid to
accept more then one button.

This button shall be henceforth called the okay dokey button.

I have three iPods, all work perfectly, an iPhone and two MacBooks that I have no trouble with.

What do you do to your stuff?

Taking bricks to them Ipods aye?

I must admit I never have seen a apple fail,
except them G3's when dealing with
video editing.

G4+Video Editing > G3+Video Editing.

I must wonder does apple put a private
power generator on them G3's I pulled
the plug and the thing would keep chugging.

Oh come on. Most of the apple products are both, overhyped and overpriced, and that's not MS fault. Just look at iphone, mac book air, etc.
They managed to hype and market something as simple and common for windows users as dvd sharing to be something new and innovative from Apple. Just call it borrowing and there U r.

I wouldn't count on it just yet. Anyway, there's enough competition already.
