Probably for the best considering the internet was close to dragging him out and public execution over his films.

Seriously, the toxicity this man got was insane.

He should just direct it under a fake name.

Sad day for me. I knew it was coming, but still DGG exiting the horror genre classes it down a bit for me.

Pulling it off the schedule suggests a total retooling too so that’s an exciting development for people who hated Believer. I’m open to whoever comes in and giving them a fair shot. We’ll see. The sequels will be made. I’m already seeing “they’re cancelled” misinformation about it.

Not sure why they would cancel, they paid the fee so might as well roll on with it. They need to jump start the merchandise.

They could cancel the sequels to Believer and go with a clean slate for the two remaining films. That would actually make a lot more sense than trying to continue a story few people liked.

They'll definitely just soft reboot. They aren't getting Burstyn back again so just ignore the stupid decisions made about her character. Have Linda Blair be your legacy character and treat it like another reboot. This time hire a director that is a good fit for the material.

Lots of cheering and “legacy characters” talk like DGG wasn’t the reason Curtis came back for Halloween. This sequel could be very, very low-rent, so I’m just warning you all to be careful what you wish for. You might end up with a William Brent Bell or Keith Thomas directing. Leslie Odom is likely out too and that’s a big loss IMO too.

But I know I’m in the minority here. I’ll be hanging out with Corey tonight to clear my head.

“Horror fans are ungrateful. They chased out DGG. Just burn it all down.”

John Boorman is still alive, and I hear James Earl Jones kept his grasshopper suit. That's a legacy sequel I'd pay good money to see!

So we're just deciding to forget about Halloween 5 and Exorcist 2?
