The useless sections of AVS are the HDTV media software sections and the dvd players forum(unfortunately too many HD DVD partisans took that forum over recommending Toshiba players for everything). The other sections of AVS still have great value as they still have the most technical advice on higher end electronics on the Internet. But they have permanently damaged their once pristine standing in the community with their antics since the HD format war started. I hope the Microsoft money they got was worth it for forsaking Blu-ray.
