Sex & Fury (1973) coming from Discotek

I watched this last night. The presentation was solid. A definite upgrade over the DVD. The only extra is a trailer however.

I honestly don’t know why they censored it… There’s no visible nipples on the cover.

Plenty of more risqué covers out there that they’ve not had a problem with…

I'm sure it's AI doing all the scanning for objectionable content now, with no humans looking at it in any stage. You can't expect it to do anything reasonably well.

Well... either way it's back up for sale...

They must have sold out though because it's listed now as being released on the 30th (which is not the correct street date)...

They must be waiting for new stock.

I don’t get it.

My guess would be that someone complained about the image. It's really ridiculous. If you look at discs on Amazon.de there are some on there with full nudity.

Haven't watched this yet, but did skim it really quick and wow, this is a huge upgrade over the DVD. Can't believe it looks as good as it does. Very nice release.

Yeah, I ended up watching it last night.

Sex and Fury holds up better than expected. This film is still what I would call "sleaze", but it's high end sleaze. There is some really good film moments in this film, and would honestly call it a pretty good film.

The first battle in the snow which is in slow motion and nice music really takes that scene to another level. Suzuki knew how to direct and this is one of his better films.

The film looks AMAZING. I can't reemphasize that enough. This one is knocked out of the park. I do wish there were some features, but at the end of the day, it's the movie that matter, and this one looks perfect.

Loved that scene. Very cinematic! Quinton Tarantino had to have drawn inspiration from that scene for Kill Bill.

Such a fun film. Was my first time watch. On my next watch, i'll make sure to do a double feature with Female Yakuza Tale.

Christina Lindberg fan checking in, I've never seen this before but was always curious about it. How much screen time does she get approximately? Is she more of a supporting character with a minor role or a main character?

It’s supporting rather than lead, but it’s definitely more than minor.

So diabolikdvd and crunchy roll direct are sold out. I know Amazon US has it but I'm not in the US so I don't wanna pay the exorbitant fee. Doesn't seem like a limited edition but how long does discotek usually take to restock their blu rays?

I thought this had a good fighting in the nude scene. However, Cronenbergʼs Eastern Promises tops it. So, Sex and Fury presents as a non-essential curioso. Also, Christina Lindberg of Thriller: A Cruel Picture fame appears in this in some gratuity and her scenes could easily be deleted without affecting the story.

Female Yakuza Tale is a rushed sequel to Sex and Fury, for the completionists

Well Amazon lost my package of Sex and Fury and now you cannot order it. Getting really sick of Amazon lately. Any reasonable place to get this still? Or am I stuck paying extra on Ebay.
