So far, almost all, except what has come out Day and Date with Blu over the last 2 months, yes I am late to the party, but I am here, and I have thrown my $$ at BD.

BTW, I have been selling off my DVDs on ebay to afford my new addiction

So far I have re-bought the following on blu:

- Blade Runner
- Dawn of the Dead
- The Aviator

I am trying to limit doing this as much as possible though. Fortunately my collection of DVD's isn't too big, so a lot the movies that I like, I am buying for the first time on Blu, which is nice.

Makes me happy I didn't invest too heavily into DVD. I think I will be investing in Blu more then I did with DVD. The overall value combined with the PQ/AQ difference makes me feel really good about investing in HDM.

When the format war started I pretty much stopped buying DVDs, so my upgrade list doesn't have anything from the past two years.

Currently:

Goodfellas
The Rock
Spider-Man
(never got around to getting 2 & 3, now I have the box set)

On order:

Blade Runner
Blazing Saddles
Gattaca
Independence Day
Memento
Run Lola Run
Stargate
Unforgiven

Planned: Just about everything else, since I'm so spoiled now that SD actually hurts my eyes. But these are my priorities (actual release notwithstanding):

The Abyss
Apollo 13
Backdraft
Braveheart
Brazil
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Castaway
Das Boot
(my favorite war movie of all time; for the love of God release this soon!)
Gladiator
The Godfather
Trilogy
Highlander
Indiana Jones
Trilogy
Kill Bill
L.A Confidential
The Matrix
Miracle
Mission: Impossible
1 & 2 (have yet to buy #3)
Platoon
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
The Mummy
The Perfect Storm
The Right Stuff
Titanic
Top Gun
Tora! Tora! Tora!
Traffic
Twister
The Untouchables
The Usual Suspects

And of course when all are available and the price is right:

James Bond 1 through 19

I suppose this puts off getting married for a couple of years. Sometimes, bachelorhood has its advantages.

I have about 500 DVD's left.

But anytime something I have on DVD comes out on Blu Ray I sell or give away the DVD and buy the Blu.

So far I've re-bought,...

2001
Blade Runner
Cars
Chicken Little
Closer
Dracula
Edward Sissorhands
Eyes Wide Shut
The Fifth Element
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
The Fly
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
HellBoy
House of Flying Daggers
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Led Zeppelin The Song Remains the Same
Memiors of a Geisha
Mission Impossible
MI III
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Purple Rain
Resident Evil
Spiderman
Spiderman 2
Terminator 2
Trading Places
UnderWorld
UnderWorld Evolution

I would be happy to rebuy my whole DVD collection in time. If I wanted in on DVD you can be sure I want it on Blu Ray.

Hoping to pick up Life of Brian and Run Lola Run soon ... Already sold back RLR when the title got announced. (Doubt I can give away my DVD copy of LoB because it's an older non-animorphic craptastic version.)

-Brian

So far, just Spider-Man 1+2 and Black Hawk Down.

Movies I'm most looking forward to replacing my DVD copies of with future Blu-Ray copies:

Oh, yeah. Forgot about Spider-Man 3. I think I might sell that one off and buy the box set, though.

Hmm...

Here's my current list of standard DVD to Blu-ray or HD-DVD so far:

300
Transformers
Black Hawk Down (I actually have two versions on standard DVD, so I'm triple dipping here)
Final Fantasy: Spirits Within
Full Metal Jacket
Pearl Harbor
Shooter

As they become available, I plan to upgrade more titles that I currently own on standard DVD to Blu as well. Depending on the quality of the transfer (as in Shooter), movies such as Saving Private Ryan and Gladiator I'll definitely pick up on Blu, while flicks such as S.W.A.T. and Deuce Bigalow will be just fine upscaled on standard DVD.
