Been looking for a rip of this version specifically as I cant seem to find or purchase this 4:3 version open matte, glad to see it pop up though in a post like this.

I could be wrong, but this whole thing seems like kinda a joke, thats alot of extras for this.. iam wondering how the transfers gonna be... i may need a review when it gets closer.. I just see this being somewhat of a letdown release. but i hope iam wrong..

Not sure what you're basing that on as Fun City's releases have newly remastered transfers and great extras. With this movie, you're not going to find a whole lot of people around to talk about it probably, so you'll get the usual "historians" to gab about it and not much else it appears.

If you're talking about the movie itself, that's a whole other matter. It's good for Phoebe eye candy but it's a lousy BLUE LAGOON ripoff pretty much.

I don’t get the “it’s got too many extras” thing, tho. There’s a commentary and a bunch of standard stuff like trailers and an image gallery. The rest are paper extras

this transfer actually looks very good compared to old vhs ones..

Reviewing Blue Lagoon a couple of years after it came out, Danny Peary mentioned the following:

"...It's a terribly made film - although the Willie Aames-Phoebe Cates ripoff Paradise makes it seem like Citizen Kane - and Atkins should be drowned, but, surprisingly..." (Guide for the Film Fanatic)

Well, I guess both male leads are pretty interchangeable for what they're worth, up against Shields and Cates, but unlike Lagoon, we do at least get a glimpse of Aames' Willy.

Couldn't order a copy fast enough. I'm not into dance movies but I also threw in an order for Heavenly Bodies (I know, it's more an aerobics flick lol). October seems like eons away.
May order a 2nd copy of Paradise down the road.

Also ordered a copy of Stranger's Kiss after watching the trailer. Looks like something I will enjoy.

BTW, is there a way to create an account on FCE's site? I didn't see anything (maybe I just missed it somehow?)
