Depends on what is released first, but my highest priority would be Transformers from Paramount. From Universal, probably The Mummy series although they have a lot of releases I would buy such as Bourne, The Last Starfighter, and Waterworld to name a few.

Transformers from Paramount.
Universal? I guess I'd like Bourne but I think I'll wait till the prices come down so who knows what my first title from them will be?!

Default First purchases...

Universal: Serenity/Firefly if they're released moderately soon. CANNOT WAIT!

Paramount: Transformers if for no other reason than returning the favor to Michael Bay, Indiana Jones soon as they're released.

Universal: Any of the Bourne's or the Mummy series.

Paramount: It will be Stardust, as that's my acid test that I'm not going to be screwed because of their temporary "absence". With one exception... if Transformer's comes out first I'll buy it, since it's WAF is through the roof.

I have only got my ps3 setup online this weekend and I don't know if this is a normal occurrence.

Or maybe they are release by blu studios in Europe that could be it, sorry.
There are seperate tie-ins that Sony have with movie studios that allow them to release trailers on the PS Network despite not being available currently by Blu-ray movie studios.. such as the Transformers trailer up there which is currently a HD-DVD exclusive studio.. for now

I had HD DVD for a while, so I've had some Universal titles (and "Transformers" from Paramount), so even though there are some titles I'd love to have from both, I'll probably just pick one or two up every now and then.

HOWEVER, I have to support Michael Bay and get "Transformers" from DreamWorks (Paramount) again, even though I'll probably wait a while before I watch it again. I just want to get those first week's sales high for "Transformers" on Blu-ray. I'll probably pick up "Stardust" while I'm at it. Anything else will depend on monetary status at the time.

Universal: I've been waiting on the Blu-ray release of TBS ("The Bourne Supremacy"), so I'll be getting that as well. "Serenity" (which I've had on HD DVD) to support the browncoats (hopefully with a Dolby TrueHD or PCM track and new encode or the UK encode since I've heard it's better than the US encode... not that the US version was bad). I may also consider replacing the "Heroes: Season One" set I had whenever they release it (hopefully with new packaging, ala "Lost" or "Smallville") and BSG:S1 (again, hopefully with new packaging ala "Lost" or "Smallville").

Of course, I'd be kind of suprised to see the two TV sets mentioned above come out any time soon... though hopefully the movies will be out shortly after their switch.

The first Paramount movies to hit the shelves will be the one's that were released last time around. I'm sure they still have stacks of them ready to ship out.

So, that being almost guarranteed, my first purchase will most likely be We Were Soldiers. I already have the Mission Impossible series and have been wanting to get my hands on this one, but haven't been able to find it at a reasonable price.

As for Universal...well, we really aren't in control of this are we? What ever Universal releases first will be the first one we all buy. One thing that is likely is that it will be a big release, a blockbuster, a title we area all going to want. So the first Universal title for all of us here, will most likely be the first one they release.

what he said. If it's the theatrical cut, i'll wait for the double dip. Also from Universal, The Bourne Trilogy and 40 year Old Virgin.

From Paramount I'll get Shooter, The Untouchables, and Transformers.

No. 1 purchase when Paramount officially come back and they release it... Star Trek remastered. No one has shown it over here yet. Hope they remain region free like they did last time.
