Eh. I was waiting for the Hoff, and even that didn't make it interesting.

I think the biggest reactions I had were when they mentioned KITT just ran on gas (I had the same reaction Mike did and was laughing at myself for a good minute or so over it) and when Mike pulled his little stunt to, let's call it, "beat the bad guys". I don't want to spoil it for those on the west coast etc who haven't seen it yet, but that was damned impressive visually.

Gah I wanna say more but I'll refrain until either the morning or someone else blurts it out first.

I was dissapointed. As I kid I loved the original. I would have liked to of seen the producers at least throw a little more from the original in tonight... at the very least, to appease the millions watching who were fans of the original.

I would of liked more of the original music score used, even if tweaked. The original KITT was much cooler. The technology of the new KITT just seems to alien and far beyond anything we will ever see in reality.

The final scene of this tele-movie should of had David Hasselhoff getting into the original KITT and as they drive off KITT (voice by William Daniels) says, "Michael, who was that you were speaking too? Did I hear them correctly that they've built another me?" Hoff responds, "Yeah buddy, I guess were just old news now" then cut to the classic shot of the trans-am driving off into the sunset in the desert with the original score. I think that would have been a better passing of the torch.

Obviously Michael is still going to have the real KITT

They should have had them drag at the end or something, and the real KITT win, a real "who's your daddy" motif

It was OK, I didn't hate it, and it is a continuation instead of an unnecessary reboot

It didn't. Shows back then didn't usually have an ending per say, because they were episodic. Just a last ep and out

wasn't terrible, wasn't great, At least it is not a remake, but a sequel. I was concerned that they were just going to redo the 80's series.

That would've been a much better ending!

Alas, "half decent" is all it was. "Hey, let's all stand around the bullet proof car talking, so that we can get captured by the bad guys". Sheesh...

Thumbs up

This was the first time I've watched a movie on TV without using the TIVO. Actually I used the TIVO but I started watching at 9:00 so it didn't help.

I can't believe how many ads they had. It was like the old shows from the 50s that had the name of the advertiser right in the show. They should have just called it "Ford presents Knight Rider: Have you driven a Mustang Lately?"

Aside from all the ads it wasn't bad. I really liked the girl not such a fan of the new Michael, not that Hoff was a good actor either. I think it has potential, I hope if they do make a series that they lay off the Ford stuff. I don't have a problem with them showing off the Mustang all they want. It was the focusing on the Ford logo on all the other cars, as if anyone is going to while watching Knight Rider, man the Focus is a cool car???

If they make this into a series I will TIVO it at least for a while.

Not sure why they used Val Kilmer for the voice of KITT, either use the original voice or an unknown. Why spend the money for Val to do it? He doesn't have that operator/computer voice you expect, like HAL in 2001 and 2010.

I liked it, I could care less about what other cars are in the show. I hope they have more shows.

Will Arnett was the original voice until just a week or two ago but GM forced him out since he is the voice of their commercials. And since this is basically a long Ford commercial, complete with actual commercials using the car/actors/voice he got pulled and replaced with Val Kilmer. Not sure why they went with Val, but I'm sure VO's from him aren't that expensive. Hell we can get Anthony Hopkins into our studio to voice over a documentary for just $20k.

Overall I thought the show was pretty lame. The acting was beyond horrible, the chase scenes were long and boring with the same shots being used over and over. Speaking of long, did we really need to go through 5 minutes of shots showing people almost, not quite, getting ready to, insert key, aim gun, turning knob...commercial...repeat a few shots, turning knobs, entering room, inserting key, entering room again, aim gun again, open door and oh what do you know it was Mike which we figured out 5 minutes and a commercial break earlier.

The last crash was pretty good though but overall this seems more like a rehash of Viper than a continuation of Knight Rider.

I liked it though there were parts it did'nt need and that double spoiler looked terrible. The suv on dubs was lame and seeing fords all over the road was over kill. If it becomes a show hopefully it will have improvments. KITT was cool...even though im not that crazy bout ford. Also the add for that other show in the corner got annoying. The part where kitt flew by the rig was tight.

Default It was ok

I thought the new Knight Rider was ok.But I prefer the orginal TV series.I was disapointed that the orginal KITT did not make a cameo apearance.I thought it would of been nice to see Micheal Knight getting into the orginal KITT when he walked off near the end of the movie.
But the new one was ok. I will must likely tune in for the TV series. I wonder if they will bring back KARR for the new series? Heck maybe they will bring back Garthe Knight? I always thought that Garthe and KARR would of made a great team as they where both evil.

Terrible show with bad acting. The original show got away with being cheesy because it was the 80's. This one heading down the same path as Bionic Woman.......inevitable cancellation. They won't make it through the first season
