will they ever release them on BD? talking about the old movie and the newer one. and, i would like to see the series on BD as well.

Depending on how well the new series does, I'd expect to see the new movie contained in the "Complete First Season" released next Fall. If it does bad, hopefully there will be hope for a "Complete Series".

I don't know ANYTHING about the old movie...

Universal has done KR and other series like Quantum Leap, Battlestar Galactica (the real one) A-Team and Airwolf in HD. They've been showing the Tilt N Scan versions on UniHD

In the 70s and 80s, Universal would release a lot of their TV pilots overseas as movies, it's going to be a long time before they're going to be looking at HD versions of these. 3-5 years is probably a good window
