I’d doubt that it will, expecting it to be like Contagion MOD 4K. No slip

Yep, me too, for this and The Good German.

This always seems to happen with Warner MOD UHDs, they never seem to have them ready for release day, it's not too big a deal, they'll ship out in a week or two.

I didn’t pre-order this or The Good German 4K. Now Amazon is saying they’re out of stock. Will they be able to buy after the new release date on April 29th, or am I screwed?

Watched the first half last night. Lol, this is going to be a divisive one.

I forgot how heavily stylised the cinematography is in this movie. Very aggressively filtered at source in pursuit of that soft, dreamy aesthetic which leads to an oftentimes waxy appearance. I've little doubt some folks will scream something about DNR, but i'm happy it's a faithful representation of the film's intended, unusual look.

Likewise, anyone expecting elegantly resolved highlights afforded by an HDR grade is in for a rude awakening. Soderbergh never intended those highlights to be resolved much further than they were in SDR - I doubt much more information was captured by the Red cameras to begin with.

There are the usual advantages to be had in terms of refined clarity, contrast and colour but it's not going to stretch the bounds of the UHD format beyond what the DI will allow. Temper those expectations accordingly and you'll have a grand ol' time.

I do love this movie and consider it seriously underrated. Definitely one of my favourite Matt Damon performances. The incredible non-sequiters in his narration absolutely slay me

"There should be a tv show about a guy who calls home one day and he's there, he answers, he's talking to himself, only he's someone else. He's somehow divided into two, and the second one of him drives away and the rest of the show is about him trying to find the guy."

Agree on the Damon performance. I'd go so far as to say this is his best performance to date.

uh huh, well I've been to Tokyo. They sell little-girl underwear in the vending machines right on the main drag, the Ginza, or whatever. Guys in suits buying used girl panties. How is that okay? That's not okay.

Sorry for the radio silence on this one since I was neck-deep in Clint Eastwood 4Ks recently, but both this title and The Good German were indeed pushed back to today so I corrected the database. I should have a review up for both of them within the next day or two.

FYI, you mention Peter Andrews's cinematography. You might already be aware, but he's not a real person. That's the name under which Soderbergh works as his own DP.
