Generally, how are Paramount & Universal transfer wise?

I have The Untouchables (Paramount) on blu-ray and it is astounding.
One of the first titles that I watched and I've been hooked ever since.

Are amongst the better Universal HD DVD titles, and are BD ready. If any of these are released on BD soon I would say 'get them' if you are a fan of the films. I'm sure they will be amazing on BD as they were on HD.

are all top notch.


Universal unfortunately released many titles on HD DVD that were not ready for the format. They released titles that should have been remastered before released. I think with BLU they will take thier time and start from scratch on many titles.

Those 17 movies alone will set me back $429.15! Then add in all the Unviersal/Paramount/Dreaworks titles and its ridiculous...lol.
