Interesting that the US release is a 66 GB disc (I forgot what was on the back cover), but looking at the languages on the UK disc at HMV, I wonder if it will be a 100 GB disc with additional Atmos dub tracks. I haven't seen the film and I wonder if there are burnt-in subtitles, which would probably be soft (optional) subtitles on the UK release:

The BD got hit with a low-pass filter and doesn’t look nearly as nicely resolved as the 4K (some chroma noise aside but probably only in the base layer). Same thing happened with Asteroid City and The Holdovers, so hopefully the former will one day be released in 4K.

Just watched this with the wife. Enjoyed it very much! Picture quality was great! The movie itself was very entertaining; I actually liked it quite a bit more than Asteroid City and French Dispatch (both of which I did like but felt a little cold toward in comparison to other Wes Anderson movies ). Actually this might be near the top of Wes Anderson for me. I found it to be absolutely hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt, especially in the end. Benicio makes an absolute meal out of a fun role and the rest of the cast is great too. Overall a solid entry in the Wes Anderson filmography and an overall good time!

My copy arrived today and I ended up rewatching the whole movie are just popping it in to check out the encode. Great film, a nice bounce-back for Wes after Asteroid City, which I thought was a bit of a misfire.

The disc looks and sounds fantastic. Now I’m even more excited for the upcoming 10 film box set this Fall.

I thought the opposite. This was the misfire after the incredible Asteroid City.

I certainly did not mean that to imply someone who liked it shouldn't buy it. My not following could have more to do with me than the movie.

But if you're saying you ordered it because I didn't follow it vice in spite of, now that I think is a little odd lol.
