Guess I need to break down and order Thunderbolts again, hoping it has a price drop so I don't end up paying $60 for it all together lol definitely not getting this from Target though

Assume we will see an announcement early next month? Looking forward to owning this one!

Is there a real reason to why theres never a preorder available when it comes out in theatres anymore? Use to be the standard for awhile but the last couple years it seems to only prop up for most Disney releases less than a month from its home media release (give or take 2 months after its cinema release)

Why would you put it in people's heads that you can preorder the movie instead of going to the theater?

I suppose I see your point there. Didn't really seem like an issue before though.

I forgot about this at the time, but I realized this guess seems similar to Walt Disney obtaining the 1940 movie adaptation of Swiss Family Robinson, then pulling it from circulation to avoid competition/comparison with the 1960 movie.

They did pull it out of circulation back in the day, but today it’s on Disney+

Disney simply changed its release policies while other studies have remained the same with the same day pre-orders. It won't come until a couple weeks before the release now, along with the digital date being announced for the following day, usually. After that, it'll be a couple months before the Japanese 3D disc is announced. At some point they'll then announce the D+ release date which (until Thunderbolts), included the IMAX ratio.

No idea what's up with Thunderbolts and that missing ratio other than they acknowledged it being a thing.
