Any movie of the year should be a good blind buy

Couldn't disagree more. Every Coen bros movie rewards repeat viewing. You see nuances in the story and the acting that you didn't notice previously and it adds a lot to the enjoyment and understanding of the film. I've seen No Country four times already, and it keeps getting better.

I agree with you...this movie has high replay value for me. I think it's not necessarily a safe blind buy though. It's some people's favorite movie, while others just don't get it. I love it and I would recommend buying it, but when blind buying do so with caution.

The reviewer on this site pretty much put this BD's PQ in it's own level, it's that good he said. I've not seen it personally yet but yeah, you don't have to worry about sub-par BD release in terms of PQ and AQ on this title.

It's a must buy in my opinion, so I would say it's a very great blind buy.

If you like unresolved endings, you might like this movie. I recommend renting it. I just watched it and I feel the need for some closure. I enjoyed most of the movie, but the ending felt too abrupt.

I don't know why you brought up the Departed? The Departed was an outstanding movie with unlimited replay value. If you're saying the NCFOM is similar to the Departed I will blind buy first thing tomorrow.
