yes, but we're not talking about a band's material. we're talking about a movie.

I still hope they do it, but they might be reluctant to since the dvd did feature a stunning 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround mix. But with all the extras the film did stuffer some from compressed picture, Scarfes animation NEEDS to be immortalized in Blu.

I hope it wasn't HDNet Movies, THAT print looked very flawed, notably during 'Comfortably Numb' where the print was very speckled.

You know, this November/December marks the 30th Anniversary of the release of 'The Wall' (album). Would be a good time to release a Blu-ray of 'Pink Floyd's The Wall' (film)! I already suggested as much in Penton's thread, but its time to raise the bar and make some noise about this title!

Excellent idea and I'm with you. How can we help?

You know what would be awesome... if they released the Wall on Blu-ray with the album available to listen to separately @ 24 bit /192khz blu-ray audio. That would be sweet.

If someone wanted to start a poll asking for those that were interested, I could let the right people see the results.

Default Some info

Just for your info, the last SDVD UK Limited Special Edition slipcase release has the following sleeve notes:

"Hi Definition film transfer from the original wide screen interpositive
5.1 Dolby Digital and Surround Encoded PCM
Stereo soundtracks from the original master tapes"

So looks like they are 90% there already?? All they need to do is use te Hi Definition film transfer for this release?

Here's hoping!

The HD transfer has been completed for quite some time now. They show it on US TV every now and again. If you get Palladia HD, check the listings. It's been on fairly often over the past few months.

Default Definitely

The picture on the dvd is pretty sad (tried watching it up-sampled, not so great)

Hope it's 'in the queue' for blu release.

Though not official, two interesting things look to be in the works.

One, Roger Waters may take The Wall on tour in 2010/2011

Two, there is a Dark Side of the Moon DVD in the works. Hopefully this will also be on BD then as I read that he filmed a couple of shows with HD cameras.

I'd love to see it come with some good extras, like maybe an entire live performace of the Wall.

Any thoughts?
I would love for the wall movie to come for blu ray. I would buy it for sure!!! Favorite band of all time!

Going to see the Wall Live this Thursday... Can't wait.

Of course the film version on Blu would be an instant buy for me. I love the heck out of Pink Floyd.

That's the only one I would like to see and the only one worth seeing.

Forgive me for being brutally honest here, but Roger Waters has been milking The Wall for so long that it's become almost a joke. Do something new Roger...please!!!!!!

The Wall Live In Berlin 1990 has sadly been cancelled on BD. I guess my fifth The Wall related wish seems the one furthest away right now.
