Very interesting and yeah, movies are made for entertainment. I hate when people think they know all the facts about something when they see the movie.

If they made the movie completely based on historical events it would be 4 hours of mostly talking

I am happy to say that they are on my favorite list as well. I wonder why ahemmmm..................Passion of the Christ didn't make the list.

Surprised they didn't mention U-571.

In any case, these type things rarely bother me. I'm not looking for a history-lesson, I'm usually just looking to be entertained when I go to the theater or when I'm watching a movie at home.

Often times I ignore these inaccuracies for entertainment.

I've never been a big fan of lists to begin with, but after seeing Yahoo's top 10 most anticipated movies of 2008 not even making mention of Indiana Jones, they kind of lose any hope of credibilty in anything they come up with.

The 2001 bit almost made me pee.

I wouldn't categorize it as historically inaccurate as when the film was made the time period in which it was set was not history. Had NASA's Apollo budget not been slashed, we may well be working and living on the moon, travelling to Jupiter and having monolith/HAL issues.

I was excited about Indiana Jones until I saw the trailer. They should have gotten Mel Gibson to direct it.

That is why I don't worship Kubrick's 2001 as many idiots do. They could do something more productive during the time they spend analyzing 2001's drug-inspired ending.

What was fantastic about it? It was historically inaccurate and morally reprehensible.
