Sloth was played by former Oakland Raider John Matuszak who died of heart failure attributed to steroid abuse back in '89. He's not in the pic. The old guy is Richard Donner, the director.

was i amazon today just searching thru the blu-ray section i come up with the goonies blu-ray no release date but cover art i never saw before. check it out

That is not an indication of upcoming cover art, that is merely a placeholder page Amazon puts up so people can get an email alert if the title gets announced. It is in no way an indicator that a title is coming (although all signs point to an upcoming release, in this case).

Looks like they are simply using one of the theatrical teaser posters on that placeholder page.

We will get the standard video box art for the Goonies when it hits Blu-ray in the US.
