So I've decided to go with the Polk Monitor 70s and CS2. They sound great and will do perfectly in my room with my projector. I could not justify spending 3X the price for a college set-up. When I get my Dental practice going 8 years down the road I'll dip into a little higher end system. I am hoping to borrow my roommates few month old cheap sony receiver until the Pioneer VSX-1018 comes out in another month and a half. I'm going to be picking up the Polk Monitor 40s from their ebay store (thinking I can get them for around 140-150. As far as the sub goes, I have been looking around and am a little stumped. Right now at the top of the list is the Polk PSW125 that I can get at amazon for $220. Does anyone have a better idea for a sub that will fit well with my set-up?

Thank you to everyone that has helped and guided me, I had a lot of fun finding my equipment. I think I will be happy with my speakers at a few bucks under $1000.
