As Roger Ebert once said "Not only is this film bad, it's unusually bad."

Okay taken from a wiki this is the plot and story from the game.

"In the Kingdom of Ehb, a humble farmer's life is turned upside down when a couple of evil goblin-like creatures, attack the community. The Krug, as they are known, must be stopped and the player's character is tasked with seeking help from a neighboring town. Along the way, the player may meet others willing to help. The player soon discovers, however, that the quest does not end at reaching the town.

According to the game's back-story, The Kingdom of Ehb is a border kingdom in the continent of Aranna, next to the Plain of Tears. Originally a trading post on the outskirts of the Empire of Stars, Ehb later achieved temporary status as a military protectorate and province when the 10th Legion migrated westward.

In the wake of the War of Legions, and the ensuing collapse of the Empire of Stars, Ehb became an independent kingdom in its own right. Stability was achieved thanks to the protection provided by its fortifications and the 10th Legion - one of the most highly trained armies of Aranna.

Ehb presents a rich variety of terrain and peoples. Valleys, icy mountains, swamps, deserts, deep forests, cliffs and volcanoes ornate its layout. Its main inhabitants are Humans and Dwarves who live in harmony and acknowledge the same ruler. There are also the primitive Krug, secretive Goblin technologists, the loathsome undead and the mysterious, though largely autonomous Droog."

Odd enough they included the story of legends of arana.. but oh well that was a different campaign not connected with farmer.

The movie wasn't that bad. Rented it last night. Some cheesy parts but, watchable. Jason Stathom

I rented it, watched about 10 minutes and turned it off. Uwe Boll is in my opinion the worst director in the history of movies, bar none.

Thanks for the tip - I'm gonna try and find it on Amazon tonight.
Glad I could rekindle some of the old movies for ya, yeah this movie wasn't in the same class as the ones you mentioned, but it was still a great movie in it's own right. I knew that going into it and it's still a classic, will never sell my standard DVD of it, unless they give it the blu treatment.

I rented Dungeon Siege, and I must say, for those who are skeptic you should be. Treat this like a TV movie on the scifi channel and you have a winner. The plot is alright, not as confusing as some may say. The editing is pretty bad, lots of cuts...my feeling is they could have used more transitions.

I never followed this movie through the making process, so I was stunned to see so many top talent names who signed on. Ray Liotta makes for a good villain, very believable. Jason Statham makes for a good action hero, sword wielding warrior. Matthew Lillard...well....not much can be said of him. Burt Reynolds as the King? He looked like he had other places he'd rather be... My favorite Fallout 1 and 2 voice, Ron Perlman! All together a top notch cast, but that couldn't save the movie from being a big budget flop.

To spend 70 mill and have this movie scifi quality is disappointing. Of course, my expectations were of very low quality and it surprised. This may be one of his better, if not his best movie so far. With only making about 4.5 mill at the box office, maybe he's bankrupt. Mass Effect hopes so.

6.5/10 - a worthy rental, some fighting that seems to last forever and some editing really would have made this better. A great cast with a few of them actually TRYING (unlike bloodrayne) could not save the entire film. Check your head and enjoy the big budget he blew, the ending had some cool special effects. If you like camp, then you'll like it. If you are expecting top quality LOTR or whatever special effects, story and acting, stay far away.

Remember, I went into this thinking it was of scifi movie quality. Worth the $2 rental fee.

Just to post my two cents, since I started the thread. I could go for just about any movie in this genre: big budget, small budget, whatever. However, this movie turned out to be garbage NOTHING is belivable...and the whole movie is a joke. I have the Blockbuster pass, so getting the movie did not cost me a thing. All of the actors that parcipated in this project should be embarrased. Statham tried to do a good job, but Liotta, Reynolds, and Lillard should hang their hand in shame.

My local Blockbuster this week got more copies of Juno, Before the Devil Knows You are Dead, and Alien VS Predator Requiem than ever before. I am buying the Orphange for sure, but maybe Blockbuster dosen't expect a lot of demand for the movie since it is an import.

Quote:
Infamous movie filmmaker Uwe Boll may have been unstoppable when he fought five of his Web critics in a series of publicity-generating boxing matches in 2006, but the Internet could wind up with the last laugh.

The controversial director of "Bloodrayne" and the upcoming "Postal" was recently interviewed by FEARnet.com, which informed the German filmmaker of an online petition to get him to stop making movies. Boll scoffed at the then-18,000 signatures and said he would only quit the business if 1 million people signed.

After the story was picked up by the online media, haters rallied to the effort, and as of April 16, the petition had grown to more than 205,000 signatures.

Not to be outdone, Boll took to YouTube in a profanity-laced tirade urging his fans to start their own petition in support of his work. That effort has garnered more than 4,400 signatures.

"If you really look at my movies you will see my real genius and if you go on May 23 (to) 'Postal' you will see that I deliver a movie what nobody else delivered in the last 10 years," the helmer promises.

One thing's for sure: You won't find Michael Bay, Eli Roth or George Clooney in the audience. Boll insulted all three filmmakers in the clip before declaring himself "the only genius in the whole 'bleeping' business."

Though Boll triumphed in the ring, he may find himself on the losing end of the battle when "Postal" opens. It's up against a little film called "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
