Warner Bros Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995)

Anyone pick this up yesterday? I'm curious how it looks. I was always a fan of the two films. I'm also trying to figure out why it's cheap lol. $15 on Amazon...not bad...I'm not complaining!

The new warner titles that came out yesterday have been priced at $15 by just about everywhere. Anywhoo. I picked it up yesterday and it sounds and looks miles above the original dvd. A definite good buy.

Where's a good place to pick this up? My local best buy is out or at least that's what the site says. Walmart sucks with catalog titles. Glad to see Warner is coming down in price.

They should have duplicated the CAKE SCENE in the second film too. My goodness, if THAT wasn't a selling point, what is???

AQ = 4/5? I thought it didn't have a lossless track?

Finally watched all of it. The picture quality is leaps and bounds above the DVD and the colors are most accurate (exception the cgi plates) and while I wouldn't call in sharp or vibrant, I don't recall anymore than a fleeting moment of softness.

As for the DD, it's good as it's a good soundtrack. I guess i'm spoiled on lossless as the DD struck me as kinda strident. Would be interesting to have heard it with a lossless track. Missed opportunity.

That's Warner for you letting down the consumer in the audio department again. Superman Returns is a good example of Warner looking for BD owners to double dip with the re-release coming with PCM and DTHD tracks and Speed Racer coming out in 12 days is one of the better sounding movies of the year only getting a DD track.

Agreed, missed opportunity. However, I seriously doubt this'll be double-dipped on blu-ray anytime soon, and with the PQ improvements and the $15 price point, it's enough to get me to bite.

Lossless is what I've become accustomed to hearing, just like HD picture. But I can adjust and accept DD much more than I can accept a standard def. picture.

I agree with you about this film will likely never be double-dipped and in essence i'm just really happy to have it in HD as opposed to SD. Despite a lack of lossless, I was going to get this one from Day One anyways.

I understand fully those who critize this film, it's no where on the level of the first UNDER SIEGE, however there are some aspects of the film I enjoy. I love the Eric Bogosian character, a different kind of villian, a nerdy sort who strikes back against the organization that fired him. I loved the hand to hand fights in the film.

No, it's not great filmaking but it does make my Top 5 Seagal films. I'm glad to have it on BD.

Now, Warner, let's bring on THE SPECIALIST and i'll be a happy camper!!

And let's not forget how cute and young Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy) looks in this movie.

Even super-sexy ebony stud Morris Chestnut looks great in this movie. Oddly, his head has grown quite large since this film was shot. I didn't see that coming.

Sadly, Steven Seagal looks like a beached whale in this film (at least, physically). I enjoyed this (predictable) action thriller very much on oldray DVD. I may pick this one up on Blu-ray since the price is right.

That was 16 years ago. Today she probably looks (and smells) like Rosie O'Donnell.

That's why I get pissed when I see Kathryn as a blonde now. She looks better as a brunette. She should have never changed her hair color.

I think this was the last film Seagal did when he was nearly physically fit. By the time he did THE PATRIOT and FIRE DOWN BELOW, it was all over (with the exception of the weight he lost for EXIT WOUNDS).
