No way, i am glad the war is over and i was purple leaning red.

Now we can focus on the much harder task to help BD grow. It's nice to have that kind of reality show the format war provided, but i am actually more interested in getting great films in great quality, than i am excited about fighting on the internet.

I disagree - For every civil debate there were a dozen childish, fallacious and abusive bickering threads.

The war I guess really took its toll on everyone, its like it changed the way I looked (the little stubble that grew in) and the way people felt towards me. How could one fight a war that many did not believe in? Why did there have to be two formats? Sometimes I wake up in the middle of nights remembering the horror of what I saw. I saw children being harmed, their parents giving them HD-DVDs to carry and to.....watch. The horror, sometimes its just hard to talk about.
I feel you brother, I feel you....

I agree. All the trolls spinning their FUD, trying to have a rational discussion with someone that wasn't rational to begin with. It always seemed their main arguements was how Toshiba was the one company to make Hd Dvd players so it was a unified format with one big company, and about the interactivity content from the beginning that most of us don't give a rats ass about anyway. Not to mention that if you mention you don't like their format for whatever reason you were called a 15 year old Sony fanboy. I'm glad all that crap is done and overwith and now we can enjoy our movies on one HD format, without so much FUD being slung all the time. Oh wait, I think I spoke too soon, aren't former Hd Dvd supporters touting M$ and their downloads taking over, over at AVS?

Ain't that the truth! Not to mention all the misleading and shilling on 'that other forum'; it made me sick at times. Plus it made me wonder how much BS we are fed concerning much more important topics that I don't have that much time researching as one of my hobbies...

I don't miss it in the sense that the format of choice has finally been decided and the one I chose to back from the very beginning happens to BE that format.

I miss it in the sense that coming here is not quite as fun or interesting since the war has been decided. I miss reading all of those updates that cited examples where blu ray was kicking HD-DVD's butt.

I miss the excitement and anticipation of studios switching to different sides (the blu one), but I certainly appreciate now having movies from EVERY studio coming out to Blu-ray instead of only a handful.

Find me just ONE example of something going up in price. I double dog dare you.

Oh, to clarify, I don't mean that a store ended a promotion. I mean an actual bonafide price increase.
