The 1st was absolutely amazing, and one of my top 5 movies of all time.

But a sequel... Why?!?

I really hate when studios do this. Sequels to movies that don't need them just end up hurting the franchise if anything -- this movie seems to have links to the original movie in name only (any actual connections between the movies could probably be rewritten and not change the story in any meaningful way -- generally means that the movie sucks too much to have a title nobody has heard of)

It's like American Psycho 2 all over again...
Not really a franchise if its only 1 movie.

WHAT THE F**K?
It's just as bad of an idea as sequels to the Matrix. At least Richard Kelly won't be guilty of the same sins as the Brothers Wachowski for being the parties involved.

this is worse. Here is how it would be in terms of the Matrix:

Neo dies in the first movie so in the second his little sister realizes she can see the difference between realities.

why would you ruin a cult classic! that would be like making a sequel to Boondock Saints and having 2 new guys to replace them. what a waste. don't mess with the classics!

Donnie Darko - "It's just so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. You know, what's the point of living... if you don't have a dick?"
