Yeah, I preordered as well -- as others have noted, no downside to this (assuming you WANT the movie -- and I desperately do. I haven't seen a better movie for, oh, about three years now).

How interesting that you can preorder this but not Face/Off (which is actually OUT in stores now).

Isn't this just a cynical move by Amazon to lock people into buying the title from them. Of course people can cancel but Amazon probably realise that many people are lazy and even if they can save a few quid, or dollars in this case, they probably won't bother cancelling and re-ordering from elsewhere.

I have seen this movie and loved it. Someone was saying that Captain Americas shield made a brief appearance in the movie but i cannot recall seeing it. Anyone else see it?

I preordered, but will likely cancel at some point and buy from somewhere else. Amazon takes a month to send stuff to the UK. I've tried the economy shipping and the expedited shipping options now. I find it very hard to justify. If you bought something from amazon.co.uk in the States it would take 6 days max.

I just recently ordered a Book from Amazon.com and of course opted for the cheapest shipping (to Switzerland).
I had it within 5 days!! You can never tell and mostly US to Switzerland takes about 10 days max.

Welcome, fellow Swiss Blu-ray fan

It also depends on wether your package gets through customs without any problems. I sent parcels out that were held back for almost a month and I also waited for some shipments to get to me for a couple of weeks.
But generally 7-10 days for amazon is not uncommon.

Can't speak for Amazon.UK, but here in the states it is a *very* rare day indeed when Amazon's prices are beat by ANYONE, even including super sales by B/M stores.

When exceptions do come canceling is easy and even returning a shipment is no bother -- so, as I said, can't see a downside to ordering this. Obviously overseas YMMV greatly.

I typically put these kinds of advanced pre-order stuff on my amazon Wish List instead. Then, if the price does go down, I pre-order it at that point. If not, and the release date is nigh, I then order it. Shows my interest without making an immediate (though hardly firm) commitment.

A year from now? You don't really believe this do you?

so what do you do if the price goes up? why not just preorder and not worry about the price as it will automatically adjust if it goes down. but if it goes up, you're still locked in at the lowest price.

I just pre-ordered this movie without acting seeing it first as I rather lock in the price now compared to possibly spending more in the future as the price will only go down and it'll be free to cancel.

Arent they going to have plenty of copies for this? Whats the big deal with preordering. Cant you just get it like the week before or even order it a few days before the release and it would be the same?
