Release slate for film are 4-6 month.

Since it came out May 2

It will be release between

September and November of this year..

I think this preorder business is getting out of hand. The movie only came to theatres like 3 weeks ago.

I guess it doesn't make any difference since you don't get charged until it ships, but it's still getting a bit ridiculous.

I'll probably pre-order it eventually, but at $27.95 and with no actual date set yet, I see no point.

yeah usually 4-6mo. to come out on blu/dvd

AVP2 came out dec.25th was on blu-ray april 15th

Rambo(2008) came out jan 25th it'll be out next week may 27

You took the words right out of my mouth. I'll eventually purchase this movie, but right now it's way too early. It was a great movie and all, but I'm not going to buy into the the hype at this moment.

Paramount have two recent releases (Iron Man and The Love Guru) already announced and available for pre-orders... that's great. We need more studios to do this.

As far as I am concerned, all major movies from now on should be announced on Blu-ray. If it's a multi-million movie that gets announced on DVD, it should be announced on Blu-ray as well. No need to pick and choose studio people, to make Blu-ray mainstream like DVD we should have the same selection choice from now on.

As for the comment above, I'm not talking about being available for pre-orders but at least announced at the same time they announce DVDs or put them on schedule.

I hold off the "urge" to pre-order multiple titles, or buy up stuff the first month or so it's released..... At one point I had amazon sending me packages with 30-40 movies, and now I'm seeing so many great titles at huge discounts, I wonder how much I spent over the years, and it is quite depressing!!!
