I loved the movie, but I'm not a hardcore fan so the regular movie is good enough for me.

Just how big is the box going to be? It can't be much more than a regular blu-ray case? Or can it? lol. It's probably as big as the Dirty Harry Collection. That thing is huge and messes up the nice array of blu-ray cases I have. It looks like a dvd!

I wish, for me it's 50% of the value of a ticket basically. And the hassle of manually dragging myself to the box office to redeem it. I love buying movie tickets online at home. I wish these vouchers had serial numbers for an online redemption process.

I think the discount is $1.50 here for afternoon, besides I'd want to see this opening night at midnight at one of the major cinemas in town

Check out Amazon.com for a detailed photo, but yes it's the blue case packaged inside the box.

Yes it will, and it is a BonusView release just like V for Vendetta. That was why WB never issued those and a few others on BD, due to lack of PiP.

Isn't there some special edition that includes a miniature Batmobile? (Edit: Nevermind, it's not for this movie.)

Also, as for the free ticket, while I agree that it's nice, my experience with those is that the local theater will not allow them to be used during opening week. YMMV, but that could make it somewhat worthless (unless you plan on seeing it multiple times, or can wait a week to see it).

I'm going with the regular version. I tend not to buy limited or special editions of things. I was contemplating the limited edition of MGS4, but I won't step foot in the local Gamestop here and the LE is unfortunately exclusive to them.

Rest assured, it will 100% have those features. These articles are just not mentioning them. If they do not, I will send you a free copy of the movie*

Some say not within 10 days of initial engagement, but these free vouchers included with movies usually don't say that. Though my biggest problem with them is just the redemption process, they need to start offering electronic methods. Something like a code for Fandango.com.

Nope, though Speed Racer is expected to have BD-Live features. I'd imagine The Dark Knight will too.

Bingo! The gift set is Warner giving us the WB screwjob special "Here's the exact same movie HD DVD got ages back because we just do not care about the quality of our releases enough to do a new Blu-ray encode, so enjoy this book, comic book and postcards."

I'll begrudgingly get the movie itself, when the cost of it matches the effort Warner has put in. $19 for a HD DVD knock off? Nope. I've waited this long for it, I can wait a bit longer. Nolan has re-invented the Batman franchise, BB was excellent, and TDK looks even better, it's just too bad Warner don't actually care about putting out the best version of BB they possibly can.

I find it hilarious you guys are down on it because it is an HD DVD port. You do know that pretty much every review of the Batman Begins HD DVD was saying nothing but good things about it. And I have seen it for myself and would say it looks and sounds pretty awesome. I am pretty sure you guys who are *****ing haven't even seen the HD DVD version.
