I purchased 1,200 or so DVDs, and there aren't 200 Blu-Rays I'd put in my collection, even if they were $5 each!

Looking at his collection, although everyone has different tastes....... there is no way I'd watch a lot of those, let-alone buy them...

LOLOL. If Ultraviolet on Blu was $5, Would you buy it? Catwoman? lol..

Sounds like a Harry Carey bit. "If the moon were made of spare ribs, would you eat it? I would! I'd wash it down with a nice cold Budweiser."

if so this list is perfect.
this is over $500 worth of movies that cant be watched more then once
some of them cant even be watched once..
go to Blockbuster pay $20 and watch all of them... why would anyone buy hitch on blu ray? for the specialf effect? fantastic acting? or great audio?
sorry i am not trying to be mean but I have a unlimited plan with blockbuster and even for free I would not watch these movies... This is my opinion once again i am not trying to be mean

Can I ask a question then - going by your posts and your dislike of many movies and your labeling of junk movies as classic - what movies do you own on blu?

i will say more then 80% of movies are not worth buying
and that anyone who buys these junk movies like 10,000 BC should not be given any money

I only own 50 or so.... and 35 or so are double-dips from DVD.....

I have made mistakes also.... double-dipped "House of Flying Daggers" and that one was disappointing..... I don't have a "list" but I guess I could throw you some off-the-cuff as they say....

Blade Runner
2001
Clockwork Orange
The Shining
Full Metal Jacket
Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind
Cars
Rat
ID4
Dirty Dozen
Sand Pebbles
The Great Raid
Prestige
3:10 to Yuma
Dog Day Afternoon
Blackhawk Down
Bullit
Planet Earth
Galapagos
5th Element
Hunt for Red October
Hell Boy
Rambo 1st Blood
Rambo pt. 2
Rambo pt. 3
NCFOM
TWBB
T2
Kingdom of Heaven
Reservoir Dogs
Edward Scissorhands
Coming to America
V for Vendetta
Patton
Trading Places
The Fly
Dirty Harry Collection
Searchers
Rio Bravo
Longest Day
The Cowboys
Battle of the Bulge

forgot House of Flying Daggers !

I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I know I have, by doing a quick movie search.

I want the first three Die Hards still..... and I may even get that POTC boxed set, but I've never seen the second or third.... and it'd be purely based on eye-candy really, and I usually don't buy movies that way

EDIT.... out of curiosity, what movie did I label as "Classic" that you are now labelling as "Junk" ??????

EDIT...

Forgot Gattaca, and Commando

Ok, so going by your list there - of course there are some movies "I" think are not worth owning. For the most part, lots of good titles. Again, some would never end up on my shelves.

You call V for Vendetta a "classic". It might be a good film to you and others, however it is far from being a "classic".

The original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a classic.

Does not matter if I like your list or not. It only matters if you like your list

Different strokes for different folks I don't judge anyone by their movie choices.
