The lowest priced i have seen lately for the 52'' xbr4 is $2999.00, so if you got this tv for $1799.00 then i would let best buy come out and bring the new parts and install them if that was all it needed then you got a great deal. I just saw this tv yesterday at best buy for $3600.00 and that was on sale! if i had been in your position i would have bought this tv for the price you paid also. except i would of got the extended warranty at the same time, because these large tvs are expensive to fix. I hope you let us know how this turned out for you, best wishes!

This is why I'm not that all impressed with the 120hz HD Tv's. I hear more complaints about about 120htz more and more thats why I'm glad I stuck with 60htz. My Sony 46inch Bravia looks and plays fantastic.

It sounds to me like your set just needs to be calibrated. I have an XBR5 it is picture perfect.

It's not so much the 120hz its the enhance features people turn on CineMotion and Motion Enhancer. People need to relize that turning them off doesn't mean your not using the 120hz feature.

I'm glad you are enjoying your Bravia TV though, the entire Sony line seems strong.

Ok This is a very dissapointing update.
The local sony rep just left. After watching the tv through HDMI he stated that he really wasn't sure if the motion blur i'm complaining about was normal.
Ok I explained that on my sisters set it is almost non exsistant, movie for movie and on my xbr4 it is blatenly obvious. He stated that the xbr2 which my sister has is a different set than my xbr4,I can't argue that but I highly doubt that the picture quality went down.
Auyway he says lets change the video p.c.b he did so and nothing changed, except oh wait something did change after about 5 minutes the new p.c.b took a crap and displayed green and red lines across the screen on every input. he than installed the old video p.c.b and said that he thinks that the picture is normal but is not really sure. I said Look your the expert and I have to rely on your experience. Is this normal or not? He replyed he can't say 100%. Needless to say I'm going to call bestbuy and have them pick the TV up and refund me in full.
Thanks for everyones input......
