While we're on the subject of Buena Vista, there have been a lot of reports around the Net that the studio is planning to release Sin City on Blu-ray Disc on 10/21. That's a big negatory, folks. We've checked with the studio and have officially learned that the title has been pushed back into 2009, along with Finding Nemo. Just so you know... you know?

Nemo and Sin City to 09'.

If they don't release another Pixar flick this year, Disney is biting the big one this year IMO.

TheDigitalBits has been wrong in the past. Didn't he say that the Kill Bills were pushed to 2009 as well?

I normally have a lot of faith in the site, but the word of his "insiders" doesn't rule out the plausibility of Sin City in 2008, especially considering retailers are reporting receiving early information.

Disney's "official" stance is that they won't be out until 2009 (like what I said earlier in this thread). It has nothing to do with right and wrong. If Disney is lying to protect release schedules, then there is nothing me or Bill can do about it.

Are any other retailers (other than HDAddicts) getting the word from Disney about Oct. 21?

Hey, I am not the one who is trying to overcompensate for the fact that they were a hardcore hd dvd troll for the longest time and acting like I have insider information when I do not.
I freely say that everything I ever post as far as a movie release comes from one of about ten sites that I browse now and then.
DO I really need to make a laundry list of your misses going back to the days where you had "insider information" about certain studios going red or when you were banned on this site for talking shit about Penton and others?
Calling me out and pointing your attention in my direction is not the best course of action for you, I assure you.

I never was an HD DVD troll, I have always supported both formats. Blu-ray first actually. , as for studios going red, there were Blu studios warming up to HD DVD, that doesn't even matter to me. I wasn't calling you out, I was just saying you can't always trust what you hear, from anyone. Just because a site reports a date, doesn't mean it will always be right. In fact announcements/planned release dates happen, and then pushed back quite quickly, which is why I mentioned The Mist.

Oh I didn't mean that as any attack on you or Bill. I understand the nature of the official line these companies hold, and that you can only go on what they tell you. I was just saying that Bill's official Disney contact saying it isn't coming doesn't necessarily mean it really isn't coming.
