Sin City and From Dusk Till Dawn released in Canada

Sin ciyt and Fromdusk till dawn are rumored to be released on blu on October 21st.

Where did you hear about this "rumor" ?

Would love to see both being released ... Sin City hopefully with both versions on one disc and seamless branching.

seamless branching for this one would be rather hard since it was recut and turned into 4 seperate stories. Most likely it will be just the theatrical cut. Or maybe just the Directors cut, but both on one disc would require 2 separate encodes.

I'd be very tempted by Dusk, but Sin City? I mean there is so little picture information in it that I'd honestly be surprised if a screen comparison between a 1080p native and upscaled DVD would be any different

probably not, i got it and played it on my ps3 and it was very good, i guess it s because of the black and white

Maybe not much better PQ but therefore they can go crazy on the Audio tracks! Which hopefully they will!!

I think Sin City would look amazing on Blu-ray simply because of its stylized theme

For what its worth, my Disney contact told me 2009 for Sin City. I have a feeling they might not be telling me the whole truth.

Consistant deep blacks with accurate image detail. There is a lot that the film could do on blu-ray. The audio would be the sticking point, that could be really good.

The rumor is from the HDAddicts site putting it up for preorder, and the HDRoom Site "breaking" the news of them putting it up.

I'd get them both first day, no questions asked. Even if they are just plain janes. But knowing the Mouse House, I doubt that. Really looking forward to "Sin City" since footage was on all the early Disney BD promo stuff.
