1) The Incredible Hulk beats Iron Man in sound design and mixing. That is to say that Hulk has a better soundfield.

2) If you don't like the disc art, print your own and slap it on. Not getting the title just because it doesn't have the disc art that you like is SILLY.

naw you cant slap one on over it, there's already problems with peel off labels for discs let alone sticking a peel-off onto one with a label..

would need a BDR with a printable surface

Horrible review. I love IGN, but have always avoided their worthless DVD site.

Ya that's why I said interesting. I agree I'm not too sure how reliable they are. Who even knows what kind of equipment they're testing on. I just can't believe that the PQ deserves to get that low of a rating.

If its either/or, be glad they're sticking with the special features.

With all the things that can go wrong with a BD release, bland disc labels are one of the lesser problems. It's still annoying, sure, but it's not worth making a big deal out of it. Another thing like that is the bland backside of most of the BD cover art. I LOVE it when there's a scene selection on the left when you open the BD, but it doesn't happen that often.

Geez. Relax man.
Nobody here has avoided a purchase because of the disc art. People are just puzzled over Paramount's choice to have such a standard disc art among its titles, where a little effort could be used to design it like many, if not every other studio does.

Could be waaay worse. They could add artwork etc. and then not add sufficient bass to the soundtrack like they did w/ Transformers. Nobody is ever going to see the silver disk anyways, they will only see the cover

Default why?

why do people on ebay bid on iron man blu-ray for pre-order? they are winning on a average of 25 bucks plus 4-5 shipping. comes to $30. might as well buy it at a store on release day inteads of waiting for it. I'm pretty sure there's going to be a store that will have it for $28.00 or something. or ordered on Amazon or something. it's strange.

not everybody that does ebay shops at online stores and knows that it will be cheaper there, I know this because when I worked at RadioShack most of my customers knew about ebay but didn't even know what amazon was.

Question Iron man PQ

So in the review greg has said this about the video
Quote:
When I saw Iron Man at the local AMC, it appeared to have heavily grain in many scenes, such as the action taking place in Afghanistan, that lent a news-like realism to those sequences. But the 2.40:1, 1080p video on the Blu-ray is cleaner and clearer--nearly noise-free. What happened? Either the film was subject to digital noise reduction to produce the BD content, or it was sourced from video that was later post-produced to look grainy for the theatrical release. Either way, the picture on the Blu-ray appears highly defined and life-like, with a vibrance and resolution that escalate it to reference quality. I will not deduce points because Paramount opted to produce the Blu-ray differently than the theatrical release. I wish that was the case, as I have no aversion to film grain and want to see film as the director intended. But who can blame Paramount for pursuing a cleaner look after Warner received so much criticism for the grain in 300, for example.
was it really altered for the blu release? did they clean up up the grain because this is a mainstream title thats going to appeal to the J6P? we all know how they are with PQ.
i didn't see the movie yet on blu-ray but he said the grain has been removed, i want to see exactly what i saw in the theater and that includes grain...natural grain.
so what do you guys think? am i thinking to much into this? i just want the best for the format thats all.
